The plastic on the ipod glove is not user friendly. It is hard to change songs with finger through the plastic.
Great for the gym and for running.......2007-08-13
I use this sportwrap in the gym for strength training and spinning and I also use it when running out of doors. It works great for all my workouts. My previous sportwrap I had to keep adjusting. This one, I almost don't know I'm wearing it. Once I put it on, I don't have to keep adjusting the armband, even though I have pretty small arms. It also keeps my iPod Nano secure and I don't worry about it falling out. It's made my workouts more enjoyable and more carefree.

After reading so many muddled reviews on Belkin bands and others, this looked really promising.
It comes in a nice classy box. The conception was great, the execution leaves a bit to be desired. The material is nice, albeit the whole unit is a bit thick and bulky. I love that it comes with a wristwrap, and both have the earbud cable tether. Pretty cool, but seems basically worthless as the cable pops right off in any kind of activity.
The iPod is secured completely inside, with a plastic coating over the screen and wheel. The back of the housing has a strap which velroes down at the bottom.
This needs to be pulled very tight to reach the receiving velcro and close it completely, buckling the housing a bit. This will probably be the weakest link in the construction and when the velcro fails, it's the end of this product, really.
The unit states it is compatible with both 1g and 2g nanos. As it's the same unit, I find it hard to believe that both will fit well. I have the 1G, and there is still room for it to wiggle out of square inside, revealing less than the full wheel. I imagine the 2g will be swimming around in here as it is much thinner.

The wheel window is too small and surrounded by raised plastic. This makes quick and easy navigating of your music extremely annoying!!!!!
This is a terrible design.
It still works, but you sometimes have to hit it a few times before you get what you want. You'll also likely screw up the volume, accidentally skip back to a previous song, etc... For someone with big hands and long fingers it's a pain in the tush.
This is inexcusable for a $21 arm band!
Obviously the cons outweigh the pros here.
I can't believe I'm spending the time reviewing an armband...
I would try a Belkin before this one, maybe.

I bought this armband/wrap for two reasons: 1. neoprene 2. lightweight.
If you plan to run using the nike + Ipod set-up...this can EASILY be modified to accomodate the Ipod receiver by using an exacto knife or sharp blade and cutting a small slit in the bottom of the case...it stretches and keeps moisture out. Other wraps tend to be burdened with straps and lacing...this one is simple in design but very durable and washable. The velco holds ups very well.
Wheel interface is not easily used.......2007-05-28
This armband is much better than the other armbands I have tried, but it is still difficult to access the wheel interface. I am back to using the Belkin F8Z130 Clear Acrylic Case, and sticking it in my pocket.
