Good Enough.......2007-03-16
I use my iPod to listen to music when I study, hook it up to my car to listen to while I'm driving, or carry it with me when I'm traveling. This is basically all the Brenthaven Flip Case is designed for-- very light use!
It doesn't have a clip so you can't use it when you work out, and the holes in the back of the case are pretty big so it's probably not something you would want to carry in a purse or bag that has a lot of small things that can potentially scratch the back.
The case fits very tightly and is similar to the cases that Apple used to give with their second generation and earlier iPods (the ones with the scroll wheels), which was a selling point for me since I liked that case and the ease of slipping the iPod in and out whenever I needed to without the hassle of trying to figure out how to pry it out of a plastic case. This case has access to the click wheel and port on the bottom. Also, the suede lining keeps your iPod from getting really scratched up, as the old Apple-issued case did to my iPod.
Be aware the the case makes your iPod a LOT bulkier. I have the 80GB, which is already a pretty bulky model of the iPod, but with the case it is instantly much less portable. It's sufficiently protective but doesn't have a built-in plastic screen protector so your screen is vulnerable to being hit/scratched by things in your bag or purse. I didn't use the one that it came with; I had not taken the plastic off the front of the iPod as it originally came with and use that instead to protect from scratches on the front.
All in all, I do like the case. I use it to keep my iPod upright when I'm watching videos on it, but easily slip it back into the case when I'm just sitting at my desk listening to music while I study. It's kind of a love it or hate it case.
Screen protector sucks.......2006-12-31
I bought this thinking the screen protector was built into the case so that when I pulled out the iPod to view movies I would have a clearer screen. In fact the screen protector is a little gummed piece of plastic that picked up a cat hair before I could put it in place and had bubbles I could not get out. Also the case is so tight I can't see the screen protector lasting more than a week or two. As if that weren't enough it's too thin to offer more than minimal protection. There are large openings on the bottom and back that seem to defeat the purpose of having a case. I returned this and got an Agent 18 VideoShield Kit instead. Not only does it provide much better screen (and overall) protection, it has an adjustable viewing angle.

The case is very nice, but it is not what I would advise for protective travel in an already crowded briefcase. The screen protection is just a thin sheet of plastic.
A Case as Elegant as the iPod Itself.......2006-12-27
Gorgeous, leather, and sturdy besides. Fits so perfectly I can't believe it wasn't made by Apple. This is not the case for running or active wear, but it is absolutely the best case for everyday indoor use. A slot in the back side becomes a stand for the player. Also comes with a clear shield for the screen. The WOW factor is high. You will not be disappointed!
