Ok, so you know, you run Skype on your box and use the USB dongle so the phone communicates with the box. If you have a media player running and get/make a call, the audio will play in this handset's earpiece so there is a strike against it. The handset is light and reliable, yet not exactly sturdy, but the call quality is as good as a landline or cellphone. I walked about 200ft from the base unit and I could still hear my call clear as day. The 'page' function is very nice because this is as small as those super common Nokia cells from a few years ago, so you might lose it. The other thing I would like is USB charging, but I am okay without it.

For this price, get it, it is far better than a lot of the units that have Skype built-in. The standby and talk times ARE THE BEST OUT THERE. Other units have 3 hours talk time, that is pretty weak compared to the 10 this unit gives you. So figure with Skype in/out unlimited and this unit, you only pay $175 for phone service for a full year. Perfect if you have teens in the house that have no concept of long distance or toll charges.
