Not bad for the price.I also got the $99 deal on Black Friday. It is fine for my second surround system for the new 26" Sony HD TV. I like 5.1 and needed the A/B plus HDMI -It would of been nice to have the Audio Signal but no matter I have so many cables I got my Digital sound anyway.I got All Sony Matching speakers and the W250 Sub for it.They all match. For the money I cant complain. If you want serious power Look to spend more like I had to in my Theater room,But You need to read the specs not the prices first.To get the sound you want Match your Speakers with the Power amp and hope the room acustics give you what you want.4 Stars because No HDMI Pass through! otherwise Fine for the price.
Disappointment.......2007-12-03
I purchased this receiver to replace my ten-year old Sony, which has been a superb receiver for my home theater. In a nutshell, it was a disappointing experience; the unit would not drive my Polk sub-woofer and the sound seemed tin-like, with an annoying echo. I couldn't find a sound field I liked with this one. I returned the unit to the store and will keep looking. I should have known - you get what you pay for. Would not recommend.
Great "bang for the buck".......2007-12-03
Purchased this device at Best Buy on "Black Friday" for $99.00 - what a deal! After I went to Sony support to get help with the complex hookup (they were very helpful) I finally got the receiver up and running. Their instruction were right-on and the DG510 turned out to be a great purchase with outstanding performance. There might have been more choices for fiber optic audio, but the current choices work great.
Great sound for a base model.......2007-12-02
This sony media system is a bit on the older side (for 5.1 surround sound) but it still packs a good wollop. I have been very pleased with the ease of setting this system up, and the quality of sound that it delivers. I hooked up digital cable, and a HD DVD player to it without difficulty. Overall I am very satisified with the price and quality of this purchase,

Error in Product Info: NO RDS Tuner.......2007-06-19
After searching for an updated mini system that allows me to play mp3, I came across this system that seemed to fit my bill. The DR-H300 caught my eye as it plays mp3, divx, and host of other format. Though price was a little high, I was looking forward as this system featured a USB and an aux input. This allows one who does not happen to own an ipod to connect other various forms of MP3 player. In addition there is also a HDMI output. I promptly ordered ordered this from JR when it became available as they were the only company I can locate that carry this system. The DR-H300 is an updated system from their well-refined line, though not highly known in the states.
After receiving the unit, I was a little miffed as the system does NOT include any speakers. For $399 TEAC could have included a set of speakers. However upon further examiniation, I came to realize that the advertised RDS tuner feature is not available for systems in the US (Amazon has since corrected specs, despite what the picture shows). The feature advertised here is only available for systems destined for Europe. How lame can that be? Come on TEAC, even Denon has already included this as part of their feature. Why the prejudice against US market? Despite the drawback, I was willing to overlook this discrepancy. Upon inserting my first CD, I heard a loud screeching as if the disc was being eaten up. By manipulating the drive a little, the noise slowly went away. Apparently the disk drive was not align correctly. Another huge drawback is the hum/buzz that emits from the system. The sound is not evident at sound level of 0. At sound level of 1, all that is heard is the hum/buzz. At sound level of 2 and above the music is able to drown out most of the annoying noise. I connected the system to a Belkin PF60 power surge protector/line cleaner. To no avail, the hum was still evident. I promptly sent the unit back to JR. Hopefully the new unit will be better, but my expectation to the TEAC minisystem has been severely tempered.
