Love this case..........2007-06-22

I'd rate this a '6' if I could. This is absolutely the BEST nano case around in my opinion...

Yes, the slimmer nano is slightly longer but the case works on mine now. Yes it requires a little stretching but it's well worth it!

I'm buying this for friends that have nano's because it's that good of a case...

Now I only with they made something simular to this for the 80g ipod that I have. I'm still looking for a fantastic case like this for that one...

Humorous aside: A salesman at Circuit City tried to talk me out of this because 'it has a magnet' and the magnet will wreck the nano. He probably still believes to this day that the nano has a hard drive in it... Still, buy this case... It rocks...

Didn't work for me right out of the box........2007-02-04

I bought this thing with an Apple Nano II, and it didn't fit. I believe it's for the older 1st gen Nanos. I actually stretched it out a little bit by pulling on either side of the cover, and it eventually fit.

It's really good quality. Other than the fact that it didn't fit, I love it!

My 9-year-old son loves this ipod case. It clips to his belt, and opens in a way that he can leave it clipped and still see to work the click wheel. It's good protection for an expensive little gadget.

The Belkin iPod Nano Flip Case appears not to have been sized for the second-generation Nano. The Gen-2 Nano is slightly longer; so, the leather band used to close the case is too short and the metal button on the end doesn't fully contact and mesh with the magnetic-clasp on the back. (...and I wouldn't try to stretch it using the Nano!)

protects, pratical, and stylish........2006-11-12

I like the magnetic clasp, appearance, and protection this case offers. I don't like the face that I have to remove it from the case in order to use it with my iPod speaker, but this is a small price to pay. An unforseen benifet, now that I keep my nano in this case, I no longer misplace it.

I used it for the 1st gen Nano, no idea if it works with the 2nd gen.

Great center channel..........2007-12-10

At $199 this center channel is a great product. Provides clear voices. They really are right when say the center channel carries a lot of your sound. Now the voices really do come out in noisy action movies and I can hear even more sounds.

Very solid build. This puppy is huuuuuge and has weight. Check your measurements.... 7-11/16" H x 24" W x 14-1/2" D.

Also, I honestly don't think that you can place this on an slim line TV. I own a Sony Bravia KDS 60A3000 with a solid cabinet build. However, I'm not placing this guy on top of my TV.

Great speaker, but..........2007-01-18

This speaker sounds great, but so does the CS1 which is priced at only $179 which is less than 1/2 the cost of the CSi5. I actually had the opportunity to test the two products side by side and honestly I couldn't hear a difference, even with full tone sweeps including lots of bass.

I rate this as 3 stars because, although it sounds fabulous, I think it is overpriced since you get almost identical performance from a much cheaper speaker (minus 1 star). Also, this thing is huge which means many users may have a hard time placing it in the right spot so the soundstage would be messed up (minus 1 star).

If you have lots of money to burn and plenty of space for this speaker, then I'd recommend it, otherwise go with the CS1.

Good, but not perfect.......2007-01-18

I am a consumer electronics professional and have been in the business for 20 years now. I say this just to add some context for this review and to let readers know that I'm far pickier than most users.

Given how much of a movie comes from the center channel, it is arguably the most important speaker in any home theater system. Before this I had a high-end Infinity with dual 5.25" mid/woofs, but found it to lack depth. The clarity and openness were great, but I wanted to feel the menacing timbre in Darth Vader's voice and get the full impact of a baritone singing voice, which I felt was missing.

They say that your center should be the same type of speaker as your fronts, but putting a tower on your TV is a bit excessive, even for me. So I did the next-best thing.

The CSi5 is an imposing speaker with dual 6.5" woofers, a sizable ported cabinet, and a clean but not shrill tweeter. The subdued highs of the tweeter were actually what made it such a good match for my Phase Tech front speakers.

Well, while I definitely got the depth I was after, and the highs are wonderfully mellow, the problem is that the speaker lacks the openness of the Infinity. I thought the thick and dense cabinet would solve this problem, which I've heard in other Polk speakers of lower quality, but it didn't. The sound is very localized and often sounds like it's coming from a box, which, of course, it is.

I've always liked, if not always respected, Polk speakers, and actually had a pair of the old Monitor 10B speakers. They were boomy and a little too sparkly, but they had a pleasing sound and were more open than today's models. They started messing with the two-way design they used in all of their speakers--all the way up to their monstrous SDA SRS1.2s--and wound up kicking themselves in the butt.

It's a good speaker, but to a guy that values open sound above so many other aspects of sound quality, this is a tough pill.

Superb quality, the best you're gonna get on a tape.......1999-10-31

The S-VHS is awesome. I am a teenager who makes movies and use these all the time. The quality and sound are great! There is no difference between the tape recording on my Sony Digital Handycam and on my S-VHS tape. The picture is better from these than the movies you rent at a movie star. Only one catch, you have to have an expensive S-VHS recording VCR, like me, or the extra couple bucks do you no good.
