The iRiver Mobile Transmitter enables you to listen to all your favourite MP3s over your vehicle's speaker system. It plugs into the cigarette lighter socket and broadcasts any audio source through the radio. Simply connect your MP3 player and enjoy your entire music collection. This wireless transmitter broadcasts on the full spectrum of the FM band - just select any frequency and tune your car radio to the same frequency. The chosen frequency is displayed on the built-in LCD for easy tuning. The iRiver transmitter stores up to 3 frequency presets, allowing you to choose the clearest stations. Plus, the memory feature will retune to the last used frequency when your device is powered off and on.
The iRiver mobile transmitter features instant power on and auto power off capabilities. When audio is detected the unit will automatically power on, and it will automatically power off when no audio has been detected for 30 seconds. Most disappointed with the iRiver AFT-100.......2007-11-19
I purchased the iRiver AFT-100 based on the many positive reviews I read. I'm not sure how such an inferior FM transmittor can be rated so positively. I live in a rural area without FM interference and no matter what frequency I transmit on the reception and sound quality is very poor. This indicates the poor reception is not due to interference but to the product being inferior. The restocking fee doesn't make return this item worthwhile and the sound quality is so poor I'd feel embarrassed giving it away to a friend or relative.
I'm sure if you're like me you'll be swayed by the abundance of positive reviews over the few negative reviews like mine and figure I just got a defective product. If you read the other negative reviews you'll find others have the same complaint as I.
But if you do purchase the iRiver don't say you weren't warned. Anyone wanting to listen to their MP3 player without headphones would be much better off purchasing a small set of portable MP3 speakers instead of this product which I consider unusable and a rip-off.

Works well - there is not a perfect transmitter and there is always something to complain about. This is fine at a low price and I have not had many problems using it. You are much better off just using a 1/8 input or even a cassette adapter if possible, but some of us only have a radio without cassette deck or input jack.
Pros: Simple to operate.
Cons: Buttons are plasticky and non-tactile; the LCD faces forward without tilting up so it is impossible to read while driving; the unit turns on when a signal comes through it from your audio player, and turns off when the signal stops; a bit of a learning curve to use.
This is a tough device to use where there are strong signals from many radio stations, such as New York, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, etc.
If you find it for under $15 and you need one, not a bad way to go.

Smooth Bass .......2007-12-19
This is a 300W Sub not a 250W Sub. It doesn't shake the windows in the room but provides good sounding bass for films, music and games without requiring any adjusting for listening to the various sources. It also comes with the Sub cable which is at least a $15 savings. It also matches very well with the other JBL speakers that I've used to make my system. Again this sub is great as long as you don't want to hear every bolt rattling in your home.

So after reading all the wonderful reviews I made a purchase and got it in 5 days, free shipping, no tax, awesome. My set up is such: PC with Diamond Xtreme 5.1 dolby dig live with optical SPDIF output to Yamaha receiver to Bose surround sound speakers in a dedicated home theater room. Video is projected via Sharp XR30 DLP projector with 1024x768 resolution. The JBL was the last component to arrive and install was cake; one cable to the receiver. There is a knob control to adjust intensity for low freq. Put in Letters from Iwo Jima DVD and FF to one of the ground battle scenes. I tell ya, the subwoofer makes all the difference. Felt like I was right there in the middle of the fight; can hear the crisp sound of bullets whizzing by and hitting the dirt, explosions were bold and the booms were solid. AMAZING! Next day I rented SW III Revenge of Sith and the opening scene with battle in space was phenomenal!!! Surround sound effects were so cool. Tomorrow I will get Jurrasic Park, 300 and Fast & Furious. So in conclusion, $171 for this subwoof is great value and you will not be disappointed!

The old 135w sony i had blew its amp and i needed a new sub researched them for a week or so and finally went with this one because it has great reviews. when i got it i put it through every bass test cd i own paired with 200w floor speakers with 10", 4" and 2" speakers as well it did fantastic at all volumes and all pitches and frequencies even the way lower ones

This sub is great. I have been waiting for a long time to find a good sub to finish off my system and this one is great. Clean and crisp has a wide range at the low end and the sounds are clear. The construction of this sub is top notch. It produces great lows that you can hear and feel. Dont let the price fool you JBL has produced another product I can say this enough. If you want great lows for home theater or just some more bass for your music this is the way to go. Just remember this thing wont rattle your house like a pair of 12's in the back of your car will but it does produce the best sounding bass for your house. No questions asked. You will not be dissapointed with this sub.

I needed to complete my surround sys so after weeks of research I decided to go with this JBL Sub-10. (I also purchased the JBL Venue series voice center channel) and with the two new addition, my surround sys ROCKS! I have a medium size movie watching room & this sub fills the space beautifully. Full rich low end, punchy, everything you would need in a sub. This really completes my system...I'm extremely happy with my purchases!
