The MicroTractrix Horn drives the four seven-inch tall satellite speakers and unassuming center channel, delivering a broad soundstage with smooth, yet powerful reproduction of movies and music. Integrated into the front baffle to minimize diffraction, the horn delivers high output, low distortion, and broad dynamics. Add the optional KSW-10 subwoofer for deep, driving bass.

All five speakers are a 2-way design. The four satellite speakers use a 0.75-inch neodymium magnet dome compression driver with the patented Klipsch Tractrix Horn and one 3.5-inch woofer. The included center speaker uses the same high-performance, high-frequency driver and 90 degree by 40 degree Tractrix Horn as the satellite speakers, adding two 3.5-inch woofers for superior dialogue reproduction and positioning. All speakers are magnetically shielded so you can place them near the TV without causing any picture distortion.

Amazing.......2007-09-25

I got a KWS-15 sub to go with these on a Kenwood receiver. I absolutely love these speakers and everything is still working flawlessly today, I use it as my primary computer speaker setup now since in 2005 I upgraded the home theater setup to full size floor standing Klipsch speakers from their Reference series. Absolutely amazing. These speakers aren't ideal without a subwoofer though, but with one they are amazing. I have never had these speakers distort at the volume levels I have been able to take them to in my area. They do get loud. Each speaker is pretty heavy also compared to other speakers this size. Quality.

Klipsch Redux.......2007-09-08

I have a pair of vintage Klipsch Heresy bookshelf speakers that produce wonderfully rich sound. Because of their size, and because I wanted a surround sound system, I decided to replace them in my living room. After a lot of research, I decided to stick to Klipsch, and opted for their Quintet II speakers. Boy am I glad I did.

I was worried that there would be a significant drop in quality from the Heresy to the Synergy Quintet. I told my wife not to expect too much from such small speakers.

Well, I had nothing to worry about. Since installing the speakers on four Sanus stands, we have listened to classical music on stereo radio, CD music, DVD movies, and football games. We are blown away. Plenty of volume with no distortion, clarity, depth and range. For the price, I cannot imagine getting better results than with these speakers.

Highly recommended.

Great sounding setup.......2007-05-16

I've had several sets of Klipsch over the years, and they all sound fantastic! I had a huge set of stereo speakers from them 15 years ago that were so powerful, I used them as an extra PA system for my band live. The difference with Klipsch, besides the electronics, is the materials and the way they angle the speakers inside them. This Synergy surround sound is crisp, has an amazing bottom end, and is a tremendous value.

This German company specializes in making computer speakers. How can you go wrong?? The sound will blow you away...just try screaming over them. The only thing you should be worried about is your monitor cracking.

i use these batteries in a guitar wireless transmitter and as the power source for my active pickups in my fender 5 string jazz bass they work great and last at least 3 shows before replacing which is great.
