I've been using it on my 4th generation ipod for maybe a couple years now. It seems to have a line-of-sight range of about 150'. I also use it at home, work, and in the car constantly, it's just never removed from my ipod. It's never given me any trouble and I'm still on the original battery in the fob. With the clip I attached to it, I can even stick it to my shirt which is quite nice at work where I play my ipod through a cassette adapter. Too bad it won't work on the 5th generation ipods and there doesn't seem to be anything quite the same for them. :(

Works - poorly.......2007-05-03

I bought this because the cable of my wired iPod remote was coming apart. I thought I'd kill 2 birds with one stone. I got this product for less than a new wired remote would cost and it gave me the added functionality of wireless. Only problem is it rarely works properly. I sometimes have to press the forward button 5-6-7 times to get the thing to advance to the next song. The volume control is also problematic - sometimes turning the volume all the way up or all the way down without stopping. The pause control works fine, except that once paused, it rarely is able to resume play. The range of the product is also a problem. I carry my iPod in my inside jacket pocket and carry the remote control in my outside jacket pocket - a distance of 12-15 inches. The iJet has trouble traversing this distance. I sometimes hold the remote 1-2 inches from the receiver and it still doesn't sense that I'm pressing a button!

If you're thinking of buying this product, don't bother. It's a waste of money. Thankfully, I didn't waste much.

Doesn't work quite well.......2007-04-30

I got this a few weeks ago, for starters even in open spaces the range is not as advertised, and the fwd ad play/pause buttons act funny, working only 1/2 of time, volume and bwd buttons work perfectly, then again i could just have bad luck and recieved a bad one. Aside from what was said, the remote works well, i think for the price you pay is not bad, but its not awsome as some say

great little gadget.......2007-04-17

Works great! Use it on the way to work! Dont' have to bother with taking out the ipod to change songs. It does the job. Even at home, hooks up easily to a speaker system and you get remote access from every room. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a remote for my I pod. This product fits the bill nicely. It works well anywhere in my two story house, with my ipod docked on my stereo. I do a lot of boating and this product works well from anywhere on board. I have had 3 of these, I keep losing the remotes.. three of my friends have bought them as well, after seeing how well mine works.
