Got this for Christmas, replacing a Infinty 8" sub,I was expecting booming bass, but mine does not sound booming at all, not the best sub out there but for the price its really sweet, oh ya its big, real big. Almost didn't get this based on reviews in other audio forums out there, glad I didn't listen to them.

This subwoofer is actually the best one i ever owned. it came shipped in perfect condition. it payed for itself right out of the box, and was 10 times better after it broke in a couple days later. this subwoofer effortlessly hits below 30hz with authority. let me tell you this thing is HUGE dont buy it if your tight on space. you will not get better performance in a subwoofer 3 times the price. if your browsing for subwoofers thinking of which one to choose, end your search here, because it is your BEST bet. For a while i thought i just couldnt physically here 20 hz. That was until i plugged this bad boy in.
Big Sub Low Price.......2007-07-19
While this is a big Sub for the Price, it should go to under 20HZ, at least to 18HZ instead of 21. It has a decent AMP at 275 watts RMS, not as good as deal as some of the other speakers in the Venturi Line, the DV64 Towers, DV62 Center Channel...but well built, and worth the price...
275 Watts RMS, not 600 Watts.......2007-01-06
I clicked on an Amazon ad (in Google) showing this subwoofer for $239. Amazon's price is actually $320. Getting past that annoyance, the subwoofer is described at 600 Watt. Only snake-oil salesmen use peak wattage instead of RMS. This sub has a 275 Watt amplifier.
Advertising it as a "600 watt amplifier" is a no-no.

If someone buys it, I'd be curious to hear how it sounds. With the price $80 more than the ad, and the power 1/2 of what's advertised, I won't bite. Yet.
