trouble with Roxio + NEC 1100.......2004-02-02
Older Roxio software would not write a readable KH disk on NEC 1100. An upgrade fixed that, but Roxio still would not erase after writing.
Great product!.......2003-12-26
Given khypermedia's poor cdr performance (anecdotal) - I bought these disks thinking that heck, even if they don't work on my pioneer 106 then i am not out the much $. To my surprise, not only did they burn flawlessly, but the dvd+rw's were recognized on every dvd player that i tried (panasonic, mitsubishi and apex) in addition to my xbox (with hard disk speed). I don't know how they did it, but this package is a steal! By the way - i bought them at Micr0center when they were on sale.
Great Value.......2003-10-29
I've had no problems with these disks. Have written & Re-written using Memorex DVD+R/RW 2.4X8AA & Pinnacle Studio 8 software with no failures of any kind.
The cases seem a little flimsy but that really doesn't bother me.(Bring these out in a spindle pack and I'll be content......)
Great Value.......2003-10-28
Great Product: No Problems
Just finished my second 10 pack (used with a Plextor PX-708A) with perfect results. After burning (and rewriting) both data and video disks - not a single disc error (and I run verify after burn on all disks). Two disk cases were a nice touch.
Update: Now 40 disks problem free and counting. Excellent product.
Don't buy!!!.......2003-10-17
I bought these disks for use with the NEC ND-1100A drive. So far I tried 6 disks: 3 worked fine and 3 failed to read after the burn. That is 50% of failures!!! They also fail to be re-recorded as well. Neither of the 2 PC DVD drives (NEC and SAMSUNG SD-616T) nor the Sony DVP-NS415 player recognize those that failed. I had no problem with the Fujifilm DVD+RW using the same software and hardware. I believe that this issue is caused by the poor quality of the media.

This Garmin automotive friction mount for your Garmin Quest GPS navigation system. Features external speaker with 12/24-volt adapter.
Customer Reviews:
Much better than the standard mount.......2007-06-13
This three-footed friction mount is FAR superior to the horrid suction cup mount which Garmin forces you to buy (part of the bundle) with the Quest. Now I can actually read the display while I am driving, or turn the GPS so that my front seat passenger can read it.
In car holder for Garmin Quest.......2007-06-08
This product greatly simplifies the use of the Garmin Quest in my car. If you have the dashboard space, I highly recommend this mount vs the suction cup mount.
It works well........2007-03-29
It sits stabile on my desh board, never move at all regardless how I drive. However, I don't know how stable it would be if I cross a bump or make a turn at 60MPH because I am not a agressive driver.
It has three flexable legs that makes this mound fits to my curved desh board. One good feature that I didn't expected is I can move it down easily from desh board to hide it without taking out PGS unit from the mount. It definitely helps to prevent thefts breaking windows to steal my GPS. For the original mount that came with GPS, it needs a flat base on desh board if not to mount GPS on windows (In California it is illegal to mount it on wind shield). The flat base needs to be attached on desh board with epoxy, which makes it difficult to clean if try to remove the base from desh board. The suction cup doesn't hold the mount well. GPS with mount dropped off from my desh board many times, I had to replace the mount back to the flat base almost two times a day. With this friction mount I never had that problem anymore. This is the first GPS I have used so I don't know about other brends of GPS. To use GARMIN GPS, I highly recommend to use friction mount instead of suction cup.
Works well - Should be standard in Calif.......2006-07-05
I have a Honda del Sol, and the friction mount works very well on the dash, never slipping around or anything. The unit doesn't jiggle around any more than with the suction cup. I read the Garmin blurb saying the suction cup mount was not legal in California -- it sure would be nice if they didn't sell the non-legal one. So the price of the Quest is actually $50+ higher than as it is sold here. The suction cup thing was a pain to get setup correctly anyhow. The friction mount is much easier to put in place, easy to grab the unit off the dash to push buttons, and the sightline in my car is not interfered with whatever with it.
Does the job pretty well.......2006-04-10
If you own a Quest (the mount part is unique to the Quest, there are other mounts that seem to use the same base) this is the solution to not using the windshield suction cup mount. Using suction cups on car windshields is illegal in CA, as Garmin points out, and this is the extra cost solution. You'd think Garmin might replace the suction cup in CA, but not so. I think Garmin might make a stick-on mount, but I am not ready to stick this into my car and advertise that there might be a GPS unit inside for the taking.
The base is a weighted rubbery thing, with three rubbery extensions (see ad's photo) with weighted blobs in the ends. All this makes is resistent to sliding on a reasonably flat and rough dashboard. Since the extension arms are flexible, it ought to handle contoured dashes to some degree. There is the question of what damage it might do to you in a rear impact collision. I have not yet had it slide, but I have kids who do not like high speed turns.
The GPS mount is a very short vertical and pretty rigid, which improves readability over the other Garmin weighted mount I tried [the portable friction mount plus auto mounting mount for eTrek plus the bicycle mount for Quest plus some fabrication work to get the cable from the Quest mount onto the bicycle mount]. It both pivots side to side and up and down so you are likely to find a compromise between being able to see it and reflections off of something bright. I have been putting it on the dash between the driver and passenger, out of the airbag paths. The short height allows the Quest to fit between the dash and the windshield. On a Honda CRV and a '95 Civic HB it has worked fine.
The only downsides I really have are that it is expensive (possibly because it includes the speaker/power supply as part of the unit), and there is still a bit of vibration, but only enough to be annoying.
