One big problem..........2007-10-03
Love the case...buttons work fine for me...but 1 BIG problem...it dyed the back of my MP3 player black! Not cool.

I recently bought this case based on other reviews and I HATE it! When my player is in the case I can't even turn it on, let alone get ANY of the buttons to work while it's in the case.

It fits the Zen better than I thought it would. I needed to stretch it out just a little bit and it worked okay but the bottom buttons on the Zen would push down without any force from my finger. Annoying sometimes but a little more stretching and it's fine. The whole 'stand' part is kind of a joke because the slightest touch and it will fall over. I like the flip cover thing on it to protect it but it sucks as a stand. I would recommend this case if you put it in and take it out of your pocket or purse a lot. But if you plan on using your Zen in your car like I do, this case just gets in the way.

The case works well, it does its job. There are a couple things I've found that are a problem. Sometimes when you push a button (shortcut) the case will push a second button (back). But I have figured out a couple tricks so that it wont do it. Another con to the case is that you cant sync while the player is in the case, so you do have to take it out when docking. Pros - it does its job, protects the player, and when you figure out the little tricks so that you dont push 2 buttons at once its really not that bad of a case. What else can I say?

I love these speakers...worth every penny...here are the pros and cons:
PROS-
*Curved design makes for even sound
*Magnetic shields mean you can place them next to your tv without problem
*Dual binding posts for bi-amplification or bi-wiring

*Better bass response than the RM7400T/RM40T

for $550 per speaker for the "pewter" (brushed dark gray metal) these speakers compare very well to speakers at the next level (I switched these for the front two speakers, in a 5 speaker surround system, and replaced some very similar look/feel Celestion floor standing speakers which cost a lot more) and the bass enhancement in the foot does make a good blend to the sub-woofer in a 5 speaker surround system.

Rule one: If you are going to buy the Smart Adapter you also have to buy the XM universal tuner box regardless of what brand of car or system maker that you have. They should really try to sell these two parts together because if you have one and not the other it wont work. In this case, im commenting on the Pioneer version of the Terk box.
Rule #2: You need an SAT compatible or XM radio branded compatible car stereo for it to work also. And most people's car stereos aren't SAT or XM ready, or prepare to throw down about 150.00 to 500.00 for a decent stereo because the sound quality of these two product (both boxes) combined is really worth the money that you are paying. Some thing to keep in mind is how many text lines the stereo has to read so that you don't need to keep hitting a button to read all of the text that XM puts on their decks, another great thing about the service. The more money you spend, the more lines of text you can recieve at one time and its eaiser to use.
General thoughts: When you get all three parts together the sound quality is near CD quality. Its crystal clear and I would know having another XM radio that I use inside of my house and another car that I have. There is a pretty big difference by having it directly ran through your car stereo or big rig as opposed to having it ran through a tuner as the Roady XT. The quality of the sounds is better than good FM reception and the only downside is when you are travling next to tall buildings in a downtown or driving through National parks such as Yosemite. No radio signal is going to travel through block of granite no matter what you conect to your car stereo.
While the instructions say that you should have it installed professionally the company gives you installation insturctions inside of the box. As long as you can get the dashboard apart and locate the power to the stereo and have a place to put the two boxes (maybe one in the glovebox and one behind the stereo itself), and of course install the antenna you shoudln't have a problem hooking this thing up. And after that call don't forget to XM radio to activate it and it will be up and running.
