Play your favorite iPod nano playlists through your car's stereo speakers while simultaneously powering and controlling the device with this combination remote control and FM transmitter/charger combo pack. The FM transmitter is easy to use: simply find an empty frequency on your FM dial--meaning a frequency that gets no reception--then tune the transmitter to the same channel. The music will then play through the selected station, negating the need for a cassette deck adapter, auxiliary input, or other wired music transfer device. The remote control, meanwhile, features a RF receiver that plugs into your nano's dock connector, where it passes on such commands as play, forward and reverse, shuffle, or select playlist. The range is an impressive 150 feet, making it a handy tool for controlling your nano in the home as well as the car. The receiver also offers pass-through functionality for connecting a charger or integrating a Bluetooth device.
Finally, the unit's charger (integrated within the FM transmitter) plugs into your vehicle's cigarette lighter to keep your nano fully juiced as you drive. The FM transmitter/charger works with all iPods (it connects to the unit's 3.5 mm headphone jack), while the remote requires an iPod nano with a dock connector. Great cable, but pins hard to find.......2007-02-16
This cable has the usual Monster quality (at least in their heavy duty line), but I found the tips a little hard to find. They can be readily ordered online, but don't automatically expect to wander down the street and find them at the nearest retailer.
And, of course, the master tip system adds to the final cost, although the versatility is a nice touch.
