I strongly urge Amazon to discontinue this product. I tested the output of each setting and every setting gave about 30% or more voltage than it should have. For example, the 12V setting gave 16.5V, and so on down to the 1.5V setting gave 3V.

I tested this with two different volt meters so I'm quite sure of the results.

Using this adaptor could damage equipment as seemed to be the case for the previous reviewer.

Buyer beware.......2006-03-04

I bought one of these for use with a Grundig radio, which needs a 4.5 v power adaptor. After a while, the radio stopped working using the power cord (it still worked when cranked up). We tested the power adaptor using a volt meter, and it was putting out 6.5 volts, even though the adaptor was on the 4.5 v setting. This probably damaged the circuit in the radio.
