Good armor for the mini.......2007-09-13

The version I bought included an arm band and a cover, but I don't use either. The basic sleeve is rubberized or padded so drops and shocks are less dangerous. The pod is held in by a top velcro strap that loops over top and sticks on the top/back. The clip is strong and positive locks over a belt. There is a clear pane to protect the screen, and a hole below to access the wheel. There is a bottom plug (secured to the case) that pops out so, in theory, you can plug in to the connector on the ipod bottom. This works poorly, in that the plug pops out much of the time and requires some pinching and shoving to get it to stay in. I glued the plug to the case (without the ipod inside, duh!) and now just remove the pod to do things with it, like dock it or charge it on the cord.

No scratches or dents on my mini after several years.

I live in Tampa Florida and have been graced by Apple Inc with an Apple store at the International Mall near our airport. Times like this is when I love Tampa, what convenient shopping!...Except for one thing...The apple store stopped selling ANY accessories for the I-pod Mini.

Me: "But this is the Apple store right?" Clerk: "Yes, but we only sell accessories for Nanos & the original I-Pods" Me: "the old giant ones?" Clerk: "Yea" Me: "So what do I do?" CLerk: "you're going to have to shop online" Me: "oh good! I hate being able to see something before i buy it anyway!"

There's a little story so you can appreciate the troubles i went through for this product. And yet, with all of this in mind, I've owed about 4 I-POD mini cases and this is the best I've found. It has a belt clip and the clips is pretty strong. You REALLY have to hit it HARD to ruin it.
