I had a hard time getting the sync cable in and out plus when I used the car radio tuner/charger, I had to take it off to plug it in.

Its good for what it is.......2007-10-15
I got this set to replace my Altecs which i had for over 5yrs. It sounds pretty good, its clear and the bass is really really nice. Another plus is that it looks pretty sleek...the black finish goes well with my PC setup or tv...its excellent for gaming!!
They're two things which i notice one of which is not really a fault per say..but i seem to have to turn it up to about 75%+ with subs as 50% to get a real kick (its has independent bass/volume control)..the sound is still solid no baffling, and the bass breather works to eliminate bad sounds.
The only other issue is the placement of the bass volume control...its located to the back of the box, which can be an annoyance based on where its placed...other than that its a pretty good buy.

I am really disgusted with these speakers. The reviews I read were all good, but apparently people have different taste in music. How do you turn that damn subwoofer OFF! SHUT UP! I have it all the way down and it is still blasting! THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! If you think that's how music should sound you will love these, but if you are a musician and you like good balanced sound quality, you'd better get something with a little more respect for taste. I'm not going to send them back because it will cost about as much to ship and return them as the speakers themselves cost. Eventually I will throw them in the garbage -- on second thought, maybe I'll give them to my worst enemy.

I got these speakers because my old ones died on me. I wanted something good, something top-of the line. These got the best reviews, and I can see why. Clear sound with no static. The subwoofer delivers real bass, when others just seem to vibrate. Speakers deliver clear sound, instead of static or cracked sound. It sounds good at its lowest volume. I'm afraid to turn it up all the way to see what it can really do. The first thing I did when I got the speakers was watch Star Wars Episode 3, and wow, it sounded just like it did in the theater.
Only problems with it I have are: the bass knob is located on the subwoofer, which could cause some uncomfortable reaching for some, but its not a big deal. Another thing, after about a month, the sound in my left speaker dimmed noticably. I tried the speakers with my computer, cd player, and game system, and always the left speaker was dimmed, so it sounded like most of the sound was coming from the right, which has an annoying effect. However, I mainly use it for my computer, and I can shift the sound levels to the left, so that the sound is balanced again. Its just a shame that something, even if it is a little thing, should go wrong with such a great system. It's past its return date, and I'm not going to ship it off to be repaired. I'll live with it.
