About What I Expected...........2007-05-13
Good, sturdy case, secures the player very nicely. Swivel belt clip and stand are nice touches. The lanyard and metal loop at top seem somewhat superfluous; is anyone really gonna hang this behemoth around his/her neck or even wrist?
Negatives: as others have said, you'll have to remove your player in order to plug in the Creative cable packaged with the player. This is somewhat nerve-wracking since the face of the player scratches so easily, but I haven't noticed any real problem yet. Also, the button markings painted on the face of the case don't quite match up to the player. The Shortcut button in particular is fairly far off the mark. Not a big deal, you just have to compensate.
All-in-all, a good buy that has protected my player well thus far.

I wanted to get some type of cover for the Zen Vision since it apparently scratches easily. Of all the cases I found for it, this seems to be the best one (I initially bought the Digital Lifestyle Outfitters jacket but returned it because of a sticky residue it left on the player).
Here are the pros/cons I found with the Kroo:
1. The sync adapter that comes with the Zen doesn't stay in even though there is an opening in the cover for it, though you could blame that on the design of the adapter as much as the case.
2. Even though the case is made of soft leather, it was too tight when I initially put the Zen in it - it was holding down one of the buttons which made the player unusable. However, after a day or so the case relaxed and the problem went away. I still have occasional problems using the buttons through the case but I suspect this would occur with any cover.
3. I like the 'kick stand' for watching videos. Didn't see this feature on any other case.
Overall, I like the design and function of the case and would recommend it over the DLO cover.
Sturdy, well constructed case.......2007-01-27
This case reminds me of those very well constructed cell phone cases that are built to last and protect. I can't find any fault with the product. Some have commented that the stock sync/charger will not fit on properly when the case is in place. This is true, but it is not a fault of the case, but Creative Labs (manufacturer of the Zen Vision:M). If you use the small aftermarket sync or charge cables, they fit fine with the case on. I would heartily recommend this case to anyone thinking about a protective mechanism for their Zen Vision:M; much better than those lousy skins that abound eveywhere.
Very sturdy and functional, with one small flaw.......2006-10-08
This case is very well constructed and sturdy, and looks like it will last quite a while. It is made of reinforced, high-quality leather that is rigid and keeps its shape (even when empty), and the player fits snugly in it. All Zen player functions and ports are accessible while it is housed in the case. The plastic window is rather thick and appears durable, and looking through it, at least while it's still new, gives a clear and unobstructed view of the video screen. The case has a belt clip and swivel mechanism, which is a very welcome feature, and a chrome loop at the top which I haven't yet determined the purpose of - I guess it's to clip the player to something or hang it up. You can also stand the player up via an easel-type protrusion that unclips from the back of the case. The only design flaw I've discovered concerns the cutout for the ac power/transfer port at the base of the case. When the player is in the case and you try to connect to the port with the player's included adapter, it can't be done because the thickness of the leather prevents the adapter from staying in the port - it pops right out. You therefore have to take the player out of the case to access the port in this instance. This is not a problem, however, with the ac power adapter - just the bigger one that comes with the player.
