Almost perfect carrying case for the Zune player.......2007-09-24
The product was delivered in a timely manner and in the condition it was described. In this case it was new and in the original packaging.
I was looking for a case to protect my Zune player and this was perfect, well almost perfect. This would have been the perfect case if it had a belt clip. Maybe they will catch it on the next design.
Make sure you use a screen protector with this case........2007-08-17
I have a car charger that requires me to take it out of the case. Sliding it in and out has caused some scratches on the screen. So far I haven't scratched it on the button that is just outside where it slides out but someday I'm sure I'll slip up. The buttons are very hard to use when in the case. I'm use to it now but I often hit the select button when I'm trying to hit one of the buttons on the directional pad. I do use the kickstand occasionally but the zune will stand on its side without the need of a kickstand so I'm really not sure how much I need that feature.. especially since this feature requires the case be so thick. It doesn't fit in my pocket with it on. I would give it a 1 but it's not totally useless. I will be buying something else to replace it eventually (once there is something available out there. And I'll need to buy something to polish the scratches. Overall it was a waste of money.
I do like that I can stick this in my bag and not worry about it getting damaged. Also I agree with the reviewer about it not having any logos on the outside. It looks very nice. The cons above outweigh the pros though.
Nice case, but not perfect........2007-07-23
I really like this case, but it's definitely not a perfect choice for everybody.
On the plus side, it's a very protective case. The wraparound screen protection is excellent -- this is one of the only cases where I'd feel 100% comfortable sticking my Zune in my luggage or a back pack. The case is very nice looking as well. It's sleek and smooth, with no branding whatsoever stamped on the outside (always a plus in my book). The "kickstand" feature feels very much like an afterthought, but it DOES work. I can watch videos very well with the Zune sitting on my desk. I only wish they'd figured out some clever way to have it function as a vertical stand as well to display album art while listening to music.
On the negative side, it IS very bulky. The Zune is a slightly chunky device to begin with, and this case adds a lot of thickness due to its design. If pocketability is your priority, look elsewhere. The cutouts also do not all line up perfectly (if the Zune is centered under the control cutouts, the headphone and sync jacks will be a little off), but this may improve as the leather breaks in. Using the Zune's buttons while in the case is a little bit clumsy, but not too bad. The snaps are a bit inelegant but not really problematic. My biggest personal complaint is simply that the microfiber interior has shed quite a bit, making the screen look dusty. In my experience, however, this should wane eventually.
As some have mentioned, there's no belt clip on this case -- some consider this a negative, but it's a positive to me. I never use 'em and they add bulk.
If you want a very protective case that's still more stylish feeling that a plastic or metal shell, I highly recommend this case, but be sure the negatives I've mentioned won't sour you.
First disappointment for Belkin product..........2007-02-24
The other 2 reviews pretty much sum up the problems. My addition is I have always purchased Belkin cases for all my personal/portable electronics and this is my first disappointment.
Whether that is Belkin's or Microsoft's responsibility, I'm not sure.
For Zune owners who want a case that can move from office to club to home without the necessity of removing to charge or connect, this case is not it.
BELKIN DEVOTEES, PLEASE NOTE: while not included in description, dedicated Belkin customers might expect the excellent belt clip Belkin is famous for. This case has NO belt clip.

an okay case.......2007-01-11
Being my first product from belkin i was somewhat dissapointed. I agree with the other reviewer but not to some extents. The left and right buttons push easy but it doesn't seem like you are pushing it, however, closing the case without the hold button on will trigger the play/pause button. The snaps are not Very loud but they do make some noise and it is silly and pointless to have to open it each time, what I do now is when i use this case (along with my other 3) I put it on a playlist so I don't have to open it.
The D-pad (center) is also off center but still functional, just not a good design. The 'kickstand' part was apparent that it was the case that functions as a stand and it works well. What the pictures on here dont show, is that underneath the zune on the case part is a 3rd snap, so when you are holding it like the picture on here, the zune wouldn't fall out, this is useful because you can switch to unsnap that to go into the kickstand mode (which works well by the way). It looks like a mini tv, very nice, doesn't slide, stays where you put it. The black outside looks and feels verynice, and then inside fuzzyness is also nice, except that when sliding your zune it, it seems some of the fibers come off and are now on the screen. So as it stands I need to clean the inside of the case. (note that there is a built in screen protector on it. The way the case is held togethr allows Very easy access to the sync port, and hold button, the headphone jack is slightly off but still functions. The case also adds a lot of bulk because of all the folds. All in all it is a very asthetically pleasing case but needs some reworking of the functionality.
