If you are thinking of buying a digital camera, buying one of these cards is a must. The number of pictures in high resolution is amazing and saves a ton of time going back and forth downloading/erasing with smaller cards. Like Nike says, just do it.

Lexar Secure Digital Card is tops.......2006-02-24
The Lexar Secure Digital card (1 GB Platinum) seems every bit as reliable as their justly famous Compact Flash cards. I was initially leery of trying Secure Digital, but the card is no fuss, no muss, and considerably smaller than Compact Flash. Have used it with the equally surprising Casio Exilim EX-S500, and am impressed with both.

Bought one for my Treo 650. Read speed seems OK, but the write speed is horrible! When using voice recording software, the card was too slow to properly write the .wav files, and everything I recorded was garbled and useless. When doing my daily data backup, the process took at least 10x as long as with my SanDisk card. Even the garbage no-name card that I got free with my Treo is dramatically faster.
I hate to admit it, but it never even occurred to me that there could be such a dramatic difference in quality in such a simple product. I will never buy anything but SanDisk again!

I was amazed by this card after using another brands regular speed card. This card is very fast allowing you to use your continuous or burst mode. I have found this card to be very reliable and have not had any issues with it. After using it for awhile I ordered a second one without hesitation.
Fast, but unnecessary.......2007-04-06
I also have a regular speed 2GB card and I can rapid fire about 20 frames before the card has to catch up. I tested the 133x up to 100 rapid fire frames with no delay. It probably could have kept going. But seriously, I can't imagine the need. I haven't noticed any differences otherwise. Maybe moving hundreds of pictures off the card is quicker, but I multi-tasked while I was copying, so I didn't notice. And how often are you moving hundreds of pics off the card?

This is a very nice card. I get 358 5MP pictures and it is a lot faster than my previous card, so my video clips are no longer jerky as they were before.
