Product Description
The Wireless-N USB Network Adapter uses the very latest wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's Multiple In, Multiple Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Unlike ordinary wireless networking technologies that are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually uses these reflections to increase the range and reduce Dead Spots in the wireless coverage area. The robust signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections up to 4 times farther than standard Wireless-G.
With Wireless-N, the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. It works great with standard Wireless-G and -B equipment, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N, the throughput can be increased even more by using twice as much radio band, yielding speeds up to 12 times as fast as standard Wireless G. Your wireless connection is protected by industrial-strength 256-bit encryption. The included Setup Wizard will walk you through configuring the adapter to your network's settings, step by step.
Amazon.com Product Description
The Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter lets you access the fastest and most advanced wireless solutions currently available. With this unit enabling your PC or laptop, you can run media-intensive applications at amazing speeds, without the hassle or expense of stringing a lot of wires.
The Linksys Wireless-N USB Network Adapter uses the very latest in wireless networking technology, Wireless-N (draft 802.11n). By overlaying the signals of multiple radios, Wireless-N's Multiple-In, Multiple-Out (MIMO) technology multiplies the effective data rate. Whereas ordinary wireless technologies are confused by signal reflections, MIMO actually makes use of these reflections to increase the range while reducing dead spots in the coverage area. This means the signal travels farther, maintaining wireless connections at up to three times the distance of standard Wireless-G, so the farther away you are, the more speed advantage you get. This Wireless-N adapter is fully backward compatible, so it works great with standard Wireless-G and -B routers, but when both ends of the wireless link are Wireless-N enabled, you can experience increased throughput by using twice as much radio band, which allows speeds up to 15 times that of standard Wireless-G.
To help protect your data and privacy, this wireless adapter can encode all its wireless transmissions with iron-clad, 256-bit Wireless Protected Access (WPA2) encryption. Yet, despite a robust and deep set of features and functionality, configuration is simple and easy with an included web browser-based configuration utility. The incredible speed of Wireless-N networking is ideal for media-centric applications like streaming video, gaming, and voice-over-IP telephony, and gives you plenty of headroom to run multiple media-intense data streams at the same time, without worrying about a degradation in performance.
The Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N network adapter is easy to use, and can be plugged in to any open USB port. To experience the full advantages of Wireless-N technology, it is highly recommended that you use USB 2.0. This unit is FCC, CE, and IC-03 certified, receives power through its USB connection so it doesn't require an external power supply, and is backed by a manufacturer's limited three-year warranty.
Customer Reviews:
Linksys has lost my business forever after this adapter.......2007-12-13
I bought the WUSB300N for my Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit system, only to find that it didn't work after spending hours of trying different drivers and searching for a solution. I finally called Linksys support who told me that they have not released the drivers for this adapter for Windows Vista 64 bit machines. When I asked him when and if they would plan on releasing these drivers, he told me that they possibly would release them in late 2008. He was not helpful either. The thing that really stinks is that Linksys advertises that this adapter works with Windows Vista. But it apparently doesn't. I think I'm gonna try D-Link or Netgear in the future.
Likes Vista Premium 32.......2007-12-09
Good stuff. I bought this after fighting with two D-Link PCI adapters. This product did what it claimed and ran under Vista. No calls to customer support were needed.
I am wondering now whether I should have sent back the D-Link router also and gone all Linksys.
Works great.......2007-12-08
I know Linksys 80211.n routers are supposed to be backward-compatible, but that's true only if you want to spend money to have a weaker connection to the router. Basically, if you want to get what you're paying for with the router, you need to get the adapter. With it, the difference in my network is breathtaking, and the days of pulling my hair out about slow/poor network speeds are over!
For laptop users: Before you get a notebook adapter, make sure it'll work with yours. I got the notebook adapter first at Best Buy, but ended up exchanging it immediately for the USB adapter after getting home and seeing it doesn't snap in to my notebook's slot. To be on the safe side, if you're buying online, either get the USB adapter and deal with it jutting out of your laptop (or using the usb cord or stand), or find out for sure that it'll work with yours. (I've got a Dell E1505--not an uncommon model!)
I have Vista... not a problem after several day's use.......2007-12-07
I have a Gateway MT6451 Laptop with Windows Vista.
A seperate "Vista Installation" pamphlet was included within the box and the outside of the box had a sticker "Certified for Windows Vista", so I may have an adapter from a recently manufactured lot (although the box does say copyright 2006, if that even matters).
Nonetheless, after following the install instructions provided for Windows Vista users, I was able to receive "excellent" signal ratings where before I had "weak" and "very low" signal ratings, and can now detect wi-fi transmitters that had been nonexistent to the interal antenna.
You can either plug the cell phone-size unit directly into a USB slot or plug it into the top of the included 6-ft extension cord and base (which then allows you to move the antenna around within a 6-ft radius of the laptop to find a "sweetspot", kind of like we used to do with our dog-ear TV antennas).
Thanks
Great Wireless N spec.......2007-12-07
This item works as advertised!
I use one in the Garage Desktop and one in my Lap Top that already had built in Wireless "G" spec. I wanted faster through put for thew Web and D/L items faster and the Linksys system works great!

Ultimate physical security for your laptop.......2007-12-08
Heavy braided cable and an Abloy-like disk lock; there's no way they're cutting, breaking or picking this thing anytime soon. If anything, it'll be your laptop or your anchor that will fail first. Whenever I have to leave my 2k+ laptop in a vehicle, or have it in a public place (I'm a police officer and we do public service Child Identification programs where I use my laptop) where someone may decide grab it and run, I secure it with this lock. Whatever you do, DO NOT lose the keys.
Great piece of security.......2007-09-15
Works well and has the feature if having a key lock rather than a tumbler, so no combination to remember.
The Ideal lock .......2007-09-09
I have a PowerBook G4, and this lock was just what I was looking for. It fits snugly in the laptop, and the cord is very thick, sturdy, and durable. The key mechnism is also more robust than many locks. For additional security at a desk, this is the perfect lock.
easy to use.......2007-08-31
I bought this for my daughter's Mac for her to use at college. It is a lettle heavier than I thought it would be. It is very easy to use and will be nice for trips to the library so she can walk away briefly if needed. I know it won't deter someone who is bent on stealing it, but it can provide some peace of mind.
Great lock........2007-08-31
Good length. Fits snuggly in my PC laptop.
Locking into place is somewhat tedious as all the parts swivel for flexibility. I also have to turn my computer on its end to get the lock in place, which means it has to be closed to do so. I assume this is intrisic to all locks, but thought I would mention it.
I would buy this same lock again if I needed another, and I highly recommend it.

Customer Reviews:
portable notebook lock is poor quality.......2007-12-16
before I started college, I was told that I should get a laptop lock for living in the dorms. I bought this lock from the apple store. after setting the combination, I had great difficulty fitting it into the slot on my computer, so I had a friend do it for me. later when I wanted to take it off, it was jammed and would not come off, no matter what I tried. eventually, I resorted to having it sawed off with a hacksaw. now i have the combo part permanently stuck to my computer, making me look like a bloody criminal. DON'T BUY THIS LOCK!
fast, easy, and perfect for you MacBook!.......2007-10-02
the the price and the ease of use you can't beat it! i have a MacBook that has a substantial amount of expensive Math/Bio/Chem programs on it, and this is perfect. I was having trouble finding a lock that would work with the Macs until i found this one. you won't be disapointed, use it right out of the box
Works well, just doesn't fit very well.......2007-09-28
I have a Dell Inspiron 1505, and this lock does work with it, it's just very loose when it's locked. If I were to buy another computer lock, I would get one that doesn't have a cable that coils up, just a straight cable. My reason is that the ad said something like, "It extends up to six feet." Yeah, it probably would, but the springyness in the cable makes it so you have to put a lot of tension on it in order to do that.
I think that overall the quality of this lock is pretty good, it hasn't failed yet.
It is a little difficult to put the combination into the lock, because when it is in the computer, you have to enter the combo on the side, not the top. Typical engineering I guess.
I would recommend this lock if you don't mind little ergonomic flaws.

It's little, and it's lovely and you probably remember it in your sister's bedroom or at your mother's desk. The original desk phone was redesigned with this smart new look. The Princess is compact and attractive. With it's rounded edges, sleek lines and fashionable styling it quickly became a favorite.
Customer Reviews:
Not the original but a good copy.......2007-11-02
It is a nice copy of the Princess Phone. It does not have the lighted dial nor are its edges as finely rounded as the original but, those days are gone so we make do with what's left.
Decent phone not as heavy duty as the original.......2007-10-17
I got it at my local Target for roughly half of some of the prices on here.
Royal Ring.......2007-10-10
I love the princess phone I ordered on Amazon; it was the perfect addition to my castle (condo)! It arrived amazingly fast and has served as quite the conversation piece by visitors to my new home. It is a soft, subtle pink and literally has a nice ring to it.
Princess telephone in pink.......2007-07-07
The phone was exactly as I anticipated. An exact replica of the princess phone I had for my daughter in the 1950's. It looks as if it was a rotary dial, but indeed is pushbutton and modern techn ology. It's the best.
Pink princess phone.......2007-05-13
Again, the same comments as with the blue version of this phone. I love it. The color is nice and it is comfortable to use. It appears to be well made and the small size allows it to fit anywhere.A fun bit of whimsy and nostalgia since I had a princess phone back in the '60's!

Customer Reviews:
Not worth the money.......2007-12-24
I purchased this product when my baby was born and it worked OK... for 7.5 months. After that, it started falling appart. I can't see anything anymore and the interference is so bad that I can't hear anything either. I will say that it did work for a few months, then it went CAPUT. Now I am looking for something else.
Do Not Get.......2007-12-13
I never have time to send in reviews. I made time!
This was the single worst purchase I ever made. Do not even consider this model. I could come up with better quality using string, mirrors and paper cups.
RKN, GA
It works OK, but..........2007-11-25
The product works well IF you don't place the monitor ith the screen close to a phone, computer or any appliance for it has LOTS of interference. I wish the screen was bigger, but it has worked for me.
Down side besides the stated above, only 900 MHz, so it won't work too far from where the baby is at and walls and doors will cause the image to be disrupted.
Good while it worked, which is not long.......2007-11-19
This is my first review ever. I just had to write because I was so disappointed with this product. The first day we got it, we were very pleased with the sensitive audio and nice day and night video. The second day it broke. I thought it was just a fluke, so we exchanged it - our second unit lasted less than a day before the audio stopped working. I can't believe we had 2 broken units in 2 days! For this price, you'd expect better quality than that.
Horrible night vision.......2007-10-22
The night vision is worthless. It's overexposed, so you can't see anything. There is a big white circle in the middle of the screen, right where the baby is. We took back the first one we bought because mobi customer service said we must have received a bad monitor. However, the second one has the same issue, so we returned that one too.

Customer Reviews:
Timer saver.......2007-12-13
I've owned this item for about a week and I am very happy with it's performance thus far. I'm using it on a 2 year-old laptop running Windows XP.
The price was reasonable (paid about $35) and set-up was a breeze. Once I enrolled my fingerprints I was off and running!!
I do a significant amount of on-line stuff so as you can imagine, the passwords I've accumulated could fill a small notebook. Of all the sites I have to access with user login and password, there are only two (2) that this item does not seem to work with - CryptoHeaven and MSN messenger. Not sure why, but If that's the extent of non-inoperability issues - then this item has easily impressed me.
It saves me time, keeps things secure as can be (at present day) and it has impressed me enough to now look into the Biometrics home security door locks.
I actually enrolled 3 fingers and thus far after having tried to fool it with different fingers and other people's fingers it has withstood the test with flying colors:-)
It's small (about the size of a car remote), lightweight and since i travel quite a bit I have yet to see how rugged it is, but as long as you protect the sensor - I would suspect it should travel well.
My only beef so far, too bad the software didn't come with a variety of voices to choose from - would have been kinda neat or even cool to hear a woman's voice or a voice in a different language.
Can't live without it.......2007-12-06
I run my own company, and have over 100 different logins and passwords for various websites. Were it not for the APC Biopod, I'd spend more time looking through my files for the login and passwords I need than actually doing my job.
My only recommendation is that if you buy this product, you should also purchase the OmniPass software bundle. I had significant problems with the included software, and buying the full OmniPass package cleared everything up.
does not work with Vista.......2007-10-06
As others have noted, this is a nice piece of hardware. . . except that the company STILL hasn't released a driver for Microsoft Vista. I'd been using it for years with XP and was very pleased, but it became worthless when I bought a new computer. If the company isn't committed enough to the product to release current drivers when necessary, why would anyone buy it? Note that the comparable fingerprint reader from Microsoft is about the same price.
Manage your passwords with ease.......2007-07-24
I have this product for more than 2 years now and I love it!
It is very comfortable to use, the software that comes with it allows you to capture all sites with password (the tool recognize those sites authomatically and you have also a manual option). The fingerprint recognition is outstanding and it free you from the need to remember your passwords (but remember to make a copy of the password vault and save it in safe place just in case).
One point to notice - this product does not have currently support in Vista (at least did not have such the last time I have checked).
Software Compatibilty Woes Mar Nice Tool.......2007-04-11
If you have ANY chance of upgrading to Windows Vista, you will want to avoid this product like the plague. APC seems to be unwilling to put pressure on SoftEx to come out with a Windows Vista version of the biopod's software. If you are sure you will use Windows XP forever, then at least don't pay full price for this, like I foolishly did.

Easy to use.......2007-10-10
I had no problems at all. Worked jus the way we needed it to.
Cisco Capatabillity.......2007-09-16
Unfortunately I had to return because I use the Cisco VPN at work and needed this to be compatible. It was very easy to set up but I had to uninstall the VPN client when I need to run my Cisco VPN client and then reeninstall the Netgear VPN client when I want to run it.
Very poor quality. Never consider it for your business........2007-08-28
Few clicks during the first installation, blue screen..... It killed my networks (Ethernet & Wireless) configuration. Very poor quality. Never consider it for your business.
It does what it's supposed to do... It works........2007-04-30
I've been searching around for IPSec VPN software that would be compatible with my Netgear FVS318(v1) Firewall/Router before I decided to buy Netgear's VPN01L. I came across three (3) others that were known to work without any problems. I've tried their 30-day trials and came to one conclusion. They're all proven difficult to set up, especially if you don't know much about setting up VPN tunnels (I'm relatively new to it). So the final decision came down to just buying Netgear's VPN01L client software since it was cheaper. And since I'm only using it to connect to my 3-server home LAN (FTP-WEBserver/eMAIL server/Programming server) from work or on the road, I felt it was a wise choice on my part. Install didn't take but a mere 15-minutes. The only part that was difficult (as said before) was the actual set up to get it connecting to the VPN router. Netgear's documentation for the VPN01L was horrible I'll admit that. The example screenshots of the config screens did not even match what was described in the text itself. Which left me confused, thus, resulting in no VPN connection.
But what I did was bring up a .PDF I ran into a while back which shows you how to configure a Netgear FVS318 and a SAFENet SoftRemote VPN Client (which is what Netgear's VPN01L software actually is). So I used that PDF to configure my router and VPN client and had it connecting in no time. :)
If anyone is interested in that .PDF just do a GOOGLE search for, "SafeNet Softremote+FVS318", and you should find the .PDF link for "Connecting a SafeNet SoftRemote VPN Client to a Netgear FVS318".
You'll be glad you did.
All in all, I'm very happy with the Netgear VPN01L Client software. It works great with my FVS318 (which I've had for about 5 years now, and it's still going strong). The only two gripes I have with it are the lousy setup documentation and the fact that I lose my other connections on the Internet when the tunnel is active (unless there's a setting to change that behavior that I haven't figured out yet). ... Hence the 3-stars.
Very Good Product.......2007-01-19
This VPN client was very easy to set up and works great! I connect to 9 different locations with this client and it was easy to duplicate the same setup at each location.
Average customer rating:
- Great product in this price range
- Price is good, frames per second blows
- Good camera, a few caveats
- Great IP camera for the price
- Fine for the price

Setup was a breeze - I had to basically hook up the camera to a PC and run the installation disc which installs the control software and you assign the camera's IP address. Then the camera can be placed on the network.
The software is easy to operate - there is
The view is fine for the price range - you can definitely see what is happening on the screen.
The bundled software can operate 4 cameras - record the movement, take still shots, and can be also set to auto-sensing mode to start recording when a movement is noticed.
The mounting screws and swivel stand work to attach the cam sturdily. The view can be flipped via the software so it doesn't matter which way you install the camera - you can monitor it properly.
This cam also has a web feature - if you want to view remotely or don't want to use the built in software you can enable this feature and access the cam via its browser ip address. This could be more cumbersome to set up since most home users don't have static ip addresses.
The only thing that you need to be aware is the camera's lens view angles - for my needs the room was a bit too small for this type of lens (10x12) so it could not encompass a full view.
Overall - I've had a very pleasant experience with this product as it was easy to install and operate.
Price is good, frames per second blows.......2007-06-17
If you are wanting nice smooth video, do yourself a favor and get the Axis 206 ip camera. I have a Mac, run SecuritySpy, and have two of the DCS-900 and one wireless version. This camera was easy to setup and get running out of the box (you most likely will need Windows for initial setup Mac guys but after that you can access it via Safari) but the video is choppy and I have tried every compression setting, frame rate, and option. It appears after reading on the web that the DCS-900 series is known for this problem on all operating systems.
The cameras are used at my home for security purposes.
