Customer Reviews:
GREAT CAMERA!.......2007-12-26
I bought this camera for my daughter for Christmas thinking it would be a "good enough" lil digital for a 10 year old...Boy, am I jealous!! I own a "easy share" and it honestly sucks compared to this one! I paid about $100 more for mine than I did for this one and can't believe it now belongs to a 10 year old!! LOL The flash works fabulous, most of the time when you use a flash with a digital the pictures are dark and pitiful, with this camera everything lights right up and the pictures look great! I HIGHLY recommend this camera...I'll actually probably buy myself one too! Oh and BTW I saw the same camera the next day after I received this one for $79 MORE than what I paid for it here on Amazon! It's very easy to use and takes quality pics!! Love it!
Good Basic Digital Camera.......2007-12-21
I recently got this camera as a backup for my other bulkier digital SLR. (I have a toddler and want to be able to snap spontaneous "moments") This fits easily in my purse, and it is very easy to use. As with every other Kodak camera I've owned over the years, the color is good and the pictures are sharp.
However, I have two complaints: 1.) when you take pictures in bright sunlight, you CANNOT see the image on the LCD screen! Even when you shade the screen with your hand, it's virtually impossible to tell if you have the shot you want. 2.) When you take pictures with the flash, it takes several seconds to process the image, which makes it hard for action shots. (BTW--the pictures I've taken indoors using flash have all turned out great.)
All in all, this is a good, basic camera for snapshots, especially for people who aren't interested in any additional functions. The software included is very easy to use and makes sharing your photos a breeze. I think it is worth the very reasonable price tag.
Very nice second camera........2007-12-12
I use a Canon D20 and an SD630 for my own photos. I wanted to get a high quality but low cost camera and so after reading the reviews, here on Amazon, I selected this C613 Kodak model. The quality of the pictures is not appreciably different from the SD630. The responsiveness (latency after pushing the button) is worse than the SD630 but only noticeably when the flash is used. The controls are very intuitive and my 4 year old son was very happy taking snapshots and reviewing them within 20 minutes. The double AA batteries don't last more than 200 shots with flashes. Given that this camera cost one quarter of what I paid for the SD630 I am very very happy with the purchase.
An okay item for a beginner.......2007-12-07
My boss bought this camera for our communications department at work, and it's the fourth Kodak camera I've had experience with - and my least favorite so far.
My biggest complaint is that this camera has VERY poor color. I have to edit everything in order to use it for our newsletters. All the pictures turn out very dark and grayish - partially due to the poor flash. If you were to buy this camera in hopes of capturing precious memories of your children, I think you would be disappointed. Outside photos would probably be fine - but inside photos have been very poor.
The limited zoom is also a hindrance.
Chdristmas gift.......2007-12-06
I bought this as a gift for my daughter. She has a new grandson, and is interested in taking lots of pictures. I thought this was a good camera, but it hasn't been opened or used yet.

Too Easy.......2007-12-28
I bought this camera mainly because of its zoom lens, I plan on taking pictures at sporting events. This camera is perfect & practically foolproof. I went from oa old style instamatic 35mm., to this one, it is the first digital camera I have owned. It is very easy to use & with the included software it is easy to download your pictures. I couldn't be more happy with it, make sure to get a rechargeable battery & charger, as the battery included will not last long!!!!!!!
Wonderful Product Kodak Does it again!.......2007-12-24
I got a Kodak easy share 6.1MP for my husband two years ago for Christmas and we can honestly say that for the money we sure got our last penny out of it and it is still going. We have had so much fun with that camera that this year I have requested a little red 8.2MP so I can have my own camera. Who would have known just a few years back that a digital camera for each family member was going to ever happen? Anyway, the joke in my house is that I always have the better stuff so naturally when I got my new little red camera it would be better than the old digital we had, well I surprised my husband this year with the Kodak Easyshare Z812IS 8.2MP Digital Camera with 12x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom.
It is a wonderful camera, the images are sharp, we are having fun with the Panorama views, the prints are clear. I have read reviews that were not very good and that just doesn't make sense to me. Maybe those people didn't know how to fully use their camera. But this is very easy to use, the Camcorder that is built in is as good as any I have used. We love it! I highly recommend this camera for the price and the features.
Have fun with it!
AWSOME!.......2007-12-23
I JUST GOT THIS CAMERA A WEEK OR TWO AGO. SINCE THEN I HAVE TAKEN SOME OF THE BEST PHOTOS I HAVE EVER TAKEN THANKS TO THIS CAMERA. YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY TO PURCHASE THIS CAMERA.IT IS REALLY AMAZING. I LOVE THE FACT I CAN TAKE PICTURES IN BLACK AND WHITE OR COLOR.
ENJOY, I AM!
Best camera for the money - even better.......2007-12-22
This camera is amazing. The lens is exceptional and optical magnification equals 400mm+ (conventional 35mm measure). Most amazing is the image stabilization - once you've used it you will never want to shoot without. The picture quality including color reproduction equals products thousands of dollars more expensive. Buy this one - it's a steal.
Z812IS.......2007-12-22
Great Camera, Amazon was not the lowest price around, but the Cheap guy was such a hassle. He wanted to sell me all the accessories, "all I want is the camera" and all of a sudden they no longer had it in stock, it would be 6-8 weeks......
Amazon did me proud, it was here in 3-4 days, THANKS AMAZON

Customer Reviews:
good.......2007-12-28
transaction was easy and smooth, delivered by expected time, product was in good condition.. good price.. shopped other stores/sites.. amazon was the cheapest
Pictures too dark.......2007-12-02
I bought the Kodak V1003 in late August 2007 at Target...I find I am constantly using the PERFECT TOUCH technology feature in the camera to brighten up the picture... I primarily take pictures of people....I personally like brighter pictures than this camera takes...Although I love all the user- friendly features and durability (dropped it on hard concrete...no damage!) of this Kodak camera ...I decided to buy the Canon Powershot SD 750 Elph camera last week from amazon and so far I am much happier with the brightness of this Canon camera's pictures!
A Waste of Time, Sometimes.......2007-11-04
This is really a very nice camera, but with some glaring deficiencies, first the manual is next to useless, tells you just about nothing, it is disjointed, disorderly and at best vague.
I think Kodak would have been much more honest to include a flyer inside which said, " you figure it out.
The viewfinder in low light is just fine, but, go out in a sunny day with the sun behind you and you cant see a thing, I wish the camera manufacturers would do something about this, 3 cheers for canon, they put an optical viewfinder on their point and shoots.
Very sad part, this thing takes some first class photos, sad part,I will return mine.
easy to use.......2007-10-23
This camera is tiny enough to fit in your back pocket & you don't have to wait a week & a half after hitting the power button to start shooting. I especially love the anti blur setting as I am usually laughing at my subjects! It's really easy to switch from mode to mode, & the view screen is huge!
Could Use Some Improvement.......2007-10-17
I bought the V1003 last week. I was impressed with the 10 MP, the price, and the printing dock. I have one question however. Will you tell me what the heck it is with Kodak that they feel a viewfinder is no longer needed??? I get a bit queasy trying to focus and compose an image with just the screen in the back. A coupled viewfinder would really make it sweet in my humble opinion. Also, the shutter recycling time is indeed a bit slow, and I don't know why. I am reconsidering my purchase for a SONY or a CANON or NIKON. It's really too bad, though! It could have been much nicer if the camera was properly designed and engineered in the first place.

Customer Reviews:
What a Great Camera.......2007-12-28
This is a great camera! This is also why I use Amazon to purchase things. I used the feedback from Consumer Reports and the other customers who have purchased this item from Amazon and they were right, this is a great camera.
Very good camera to have.......2007-12-28
I had done lot of research before purchasing this camera. I had short-listed this camera and Canon Powershot S3. Finally I selected this one based on following:
1) This was costing approx $250 with rechargeable battery and charger (both original) as compare to Canon S3 was costing approx $290 with Sony Batteries and charger.
2) It has 7.1 mega-pixels as compare to Canon S3 which has 6.2 mega-pixels.
3) It has 2.5 inch LCD as compare to 2 inch in Canon S3
I am very much satisfied with this camera. This is one of the best ultra zoom cameras presently available. And the best choice if you consider quality to cost ratio. It takes pictures that are very impressive with great colour reproduction and with fine details. Even videos are so great that it can beat some of the low end video cameras. Optical zoom is fabulous. Low light results are also very good.
Few things bothered me in this camera...
1) USB 2.0 support absent. (Because of which data transfer to PC becomes slow...)
2) No RAW or TIFF image support. (Should not bother most of the users...)
3) Quick Time Movie format. (No problem if you are watching videos on PC...)
During my research I found many misleading reviews on battery issue. This camera works well with Lithium or Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries. It is good idea to have Li-Ion rechargeable with charger. To buy original or compatible batteries / chargers is up to you. According to me it is not an issue at all.
Another misleading was about the loose lens cap. If it was not kept loose, it would have easily damage the zoom mechanism if you forget to remove the cap before turning ON the camera.
In a nut shell...
No matter who you are, except professional photographer, the camera is suitable for you. You may use it as just point and shoot camera. Or you may play with more technical stuff like f-stop or aperture or shutter speed or exposure compensation or so on. Also it is a good idea to have it as a backup camera to your DSLR if you are professional.
Conclusion...
Obviously it is not DSLR and how much you can expect in a $200 deal, but...
If you want some thing like DSLR at a price of point n shoot, this is the camera. The few bucks you save can be spend on accessories like high speed / high capacity memory cards, bags, tripods and so on...
good camera.......2007-12-28
Camera arrived when stated. Pictures come out clear, not blurry. Is fairly user friendly. Doesn't seem to have battery problems as some other users have run into. I currenly have an easy share docking station for older camera. This camera doesn't fit, is not compatible. That is probably the only thing I don't like about it. The camera itself takes great pictures. Would recommend this to others.
A good zoom camera.......2007-12-25
Works great! Nice colors, good image quality & easy to use. A good value for its price comparing to other cameras in the same class. Only fault is that the batteries are not quite convenient.
Kodak Z712 Digital Camera.......2007-12-24
I bought this camera as a gift for my daughter and son-in-law. They love it. Takes great pictures and easy to use. They insert photos in their emails to us, which is great.
I have purchased three Kodak Easyshare cameras previously and have taken literally thousands of pictures with them. Very easy to use, and the software works great for processing the photos and files after downloading to my PC.

Customer Reviews:
Overall not bad.......2007-12-28
I recieved the Z1275 as a Christmas gift. The more I use the camera the more I enjoy it. True I would love to have the image stabilization on more than just certain shots, but I have taken some amazing photos of my children and my pets. I was amazed at the clarity. The HD video is pretty kewl feature also. I am not a professional photographer so it exeeds what I am using it for.
Good but Slow.......2007-12-28
For the Price Camera is Good. picture quality is nice, easy to use. But it did not take pictures continuously as it suppose to. It should be able to take picture in every 3 sec. gap. Sometime, I had to wait for 15 sec. to take another shot. I contacted the technical support team and they tried to diagnose over the phone, but did not solve the problem. Finally they told me, to send it for repair but I had the choice to return to seller so I did.
Very poor quality camera - don't purchase.......2007-12-28
I bought the Kodak z1275 thinking the 12 mp would make for better photos - not the case, my old 4 mp produces much sharper images. Other problems include red eye, even using the red eye reduce function, very blurry zoom images, slow, poor LED display... I could go on but I won't. I would not suggest buying this camera, and certainly not through Amazon, which only has a 30 day refund policy. Between their policy and Kodak's, I am now stuck with this piece of junk.
Poor Low Light Shots.......2007-12-26
Didn't have very much experience with it, but took a few pictures in our living room during the day and was not at all impressed with the pictures. We returned it. Sorry I don't have more constructive criticism but we were just unimpressed.
Solid compact camera for general use.......2007-12-23
I purchased the z1275 about a month ago to use as a pocket camera. I carry it for those moments/times when a full size SLR or Video camera are very inconvenient or impossible. It fills that need very well.
Pros: Compact, High(er) res, Easy to Use. Supports 16:9 HD video.
Cons: Video has no image stabilization, Short battery life with standard batteries, lower quality lens and hence lower quality pictures. (compared with an SLR)
Other comments and recommendations: Batteries: Get rechargeable NMh batteries. The Energizer AA NMh rechargeable batteries run for a full day of activities, pictures, video, etc. (about 2gb recording). The Kodak equivalent also seem to perform well. I carry two spares at all times and never run into a problem having enough battery power for a full day.
For those that complain about picture quality.. This is NOT an SLR. It is a compact camera and has a small lens. lens size usually has a direct impact on the amount of light hitting the sensor. Less light means poorer picture quality. Given the very small nature of this camera, I think it does a very good job. Outdoor, daylight pictures are fine. Flash pictures are fine. no-flash, dark environment pictures are grainier than I would like.

Nothing but positivity as of now!.......2007-12-25
I have really liked this camera so far, I had a Kodak EasyShare 5mp camera before and was very satisfied besides the fact that I couldn't get audio to play with my recorded video. Unfortunately I lost it at college so my wonderful sister bought me the new Kodak EasyShare MD853! It takes very good moving pictures, I was taking random pictures out the window of my friends car and they none of them came out grainy or blurry. I also zoomed form one end of my basement to the other, took a picture of my nephew and it turned out great! Even zoomed all the way there was very little to no distortion when zooming long distances. The video is great for a camera, very clear no "blocky" like the video camera on my phone. I love the rechargeable battery, my old Kodak 5mp used disposable batteries and didn't have an on/off button, it had a switch...I would always forget to switch it off and the batteries would always die. I would get all the way to an event and realize my batteries are dead!! I don't have to worry about that with this camera. I wish they would have used a mini USB port rather than the charging port that is on it because the mini usb accessories are very cheap(car charger, wall charger, additional usb cables) I like the fact that this is HD capable, I plan on using that feature in the future. I would definitely recommend this camera to anyone looking for a new camera. THE PICTURE QUALITY IS GREAT!
Silver is not Black.......2007-12-24
This is the first time I have ordered an item from Amazon that was not a movie, book or cd. It will also be the last.
We ordered BLACK and received Silver. We were not offered an extended warranty which we would have had we bought it at a store. So there is a "price to pay", besides shipping and handling when ordering online.
It is a Christmas gift so we won't know until tomorrow if the recipient will be truly satisfied. So we won't know if it was worth the ease of ordering online.
Very grainy picture and full of noise - Ended up returning it.......2007-12-12
I had a old Kodak 5MP from before and loved the picture quality even with some limitation in the flash quality. So I went to upgrade to M853. Wow! what a heartbreaker! This camera is nowhere close to even the one of 5MP. Very grainy pictures, lots of noise, evening shots are blurry. I wouldn't recommend it even for $149. I am planning to go back with Canon.
Awesome Camera.......2007-11-24
Why I was thinking of buying canon or sony? This is an awesome camera. IF you are just interested in point and shoot, this is a best camera you would by in the market within this type of camera.
I have checked canon and sony both for this type. Both does not give features that this camera gives and not even near to the price.
For Canon, its the best picture quality you would get in the market. However, it certainly fells short in shutter lag/continuous photography. For sony its reverse. Sony has some fastest camera (in point n shoot) where you can shoot continously. But it lacks in picture quality.
This camera is a golden middle of both. It has a great picture quality and good response time.
For this camera
Pros:
Great picture quality even at night with flash
HD capability
Zoom while video capture.
Video playback with audio
In camera editing
Camera works as a charger No separate charger needed
Most lacked feature in other camera.. USB charging :)
Great point and shoot modes (17 scene modes)
Easy navigation. Dont need a manual to read and understand features.
Cons:
Buttons are small for fat fingers
Less manual control. If you are a advanced user in photography and wants great deal of manual control then this is NOT a camera for you.
Low light pictures without flash (HIgh ISO)
I tried taking pictures with high ISO in low light without flash. High ISO only adds to noise. Beyond 400, without flash its noisy.
But this seems to be the problem for Sony and Canon as well in this size camera. Partly because the camera size. They want to squeeze in CCD in a smaller area. Its a sacrifice for size.
Overall great camera and I have bought two of these. I havent played with it much but I will. I will keep updating this post as I learn more.
If you are thinking of buying camera, give this one a try at shop. I am sure you will like it :)
Kodak Camera.......2007-11-11
I was looking for a new digital camera after finally destroying my underwater Pentax Optio camera after several egregious and destructive incidents and I decided to settle on this based on the price(i also got free shipping), resolution, and brand name. Despite my terrible reasoning, I am quite impressed by this camera. It provides excellent pictures and gives great video quality for a camera. It has a nifty burst picture feature to take three pictures in a row and the shake stabilization/moving subject feature works well, I pretty much spun on my chair taking pictures and while they weren't stunning quality the camera was able provide a decent image, better than my previous camera anyway. Zoom is amazing and was able to provide me with the most intense picture of my roommate's inner ear. Criticisms: 1. Feels kinda cheap. I am scared to drop this thing. 2. Has issues with low light and the low light settings actually made it worse when i was testing it out, go figure. 3. A rather long delay after the picture is taken making it hard to take multiple pics, guess that why they included the burst feature but doesn't give you as much quality. Overall, good camera, i just wish i got the red one...

nice features, poor pictures.......2007-12-24
This is our 3rd kodak camera. we wanted a small, pocket sized camera to carry around. we also have a D6440 which is 2 years old, but still takes incredible photos. it's just huge and not easy to carry around.
we've been so happy with our other kodak cameras, I didn't bat an eye at getting another one. I should have checked the reviews first.
the pictures are incredibly grainy, more so than my 5 year old 3MP old entry level kodak camera. I tried different settings, flash, iso, etc. grainy pics. unacceptable quality this day and age, even for a entry level camera.
keep looking. I give it 2 stars for form factor and nice features, but you could do better for a little more money.
Photos have a lot of grain!!!!!!.......2007-12-05
I had a Kodak CX7330 camera and I loved it until it was dropped and now it doesn't turn on the way it did so I saw the M753 camera in a store and had to have it . I loved the features on the M735 . It's slim and has 7.5mp at 129.99 bucks and I thought what a bargain. I bought the camera and found that it had a lot of grain in the photos. My Kodak 7330 took perfect photos being 3.1 mg and this camers is 7 mg and shows a lot more grain. I'm taking it back .
Handle with care.......2007-11-29
As the reviews above stated, the Kodak M753 is light and not as sturdy as my similarly-sized Canon Powershot. Purchased as bday gift for my 15-year-old son because of the price, portability and low maintenance cost (i.e., rechargeable battery). However, camera did not last a week. Someone at school ran into him while he was taking a photo. Camera dropped and has not worked since (lens error). Have dropped my Powershot several times over the last 4 years without a catastrophic failure.
Excellent camera for price.......2007-11-26
This camera is very good with pictures and video, however I didnt give it 5 stars because this particular series of Kodak camera, which is the M series, has a distinct whining sound during video playback. I didnt notice that sound with my C, L, and v series. They dont have the L series anymore, but it was excellant. For the price, this camera is better than other brands by far though. I will add some pictures I took with this camera. I like how you can charge it with your computer. The L ion battery last a long time. It beats regular batteries.
Pics not great.......2007-11-17
Camera is attractive on size, weight and price but snaps are not great, bit grainy. I have not checked similar priced Niko / Fuji.
Seems for lower price, one has to compromise pic sharpness and clarity. I have been using higher end cameraZ712, 7590 etc and love their pics but dont like to carry them in lil bag around my neck during vacation tours. This m753 fits good into shirt pocket but I cant accept average pics.
Average customer rating:
