Originally designed for dentists and medical use, the HD10X is now available to the public. Unlike current single element lenses, the HD10X has 4 elements of high definition optical glass that provides unbelievable detail.
Cameras fitted with normal lenses do not permit us to move closer than a certain minimum distance from the object being photographed. The Close-Up lens, which is simply mounted in the front of our normal taking lens, permits the taking of close-ups and also makes possible the photography of details which would be quite impossible without using the Close-Up lens.
The easy to use solution for getting extra close. These lenses enable you to get much closer than the minimum focus of the standard camera lens - as close as 4 inches from the subject. Ideal for cataloging small items and focusing on details.

Pretty good. Excellent for the price. Autofocus worked fine, keep in mind, it vignettes at extreme wide angle and there will be plenty of bowing/distortion on the edges, but it does what it is supposed to do.

I GOT THIS LENS FOR MY SONY CYBER SHOT H5 12X ZOOM DIGITAL. AT FIRST I WASN'T SURE HOW TO USE IT VERY WELL BUT WITH A FEW TIMES OF TAKING PICTURES I FIGURED IT OUT. YOU CAN GET SOME VERY CREATIVE AND INTERESTING SHOTS WITH THIS LENS. IT DOES COME WITH AN ADAPTER SO THE FIT IS FINE.
I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS LENS FOR THE CREATIVE PHOTOGRAPHER.

Not For Me.......2007-06-30
Some folks seem to be satisfied with this product but I was not. It is described as a "Wide Angle - Panoramic - Macro - Fisheye Lens" Well, in my opinion it is not wide angle or panoramic and as others have said it is not a true fisheye lens. [As for the macro part I didn't try that but I'm happy with the built in macro features on my camera.] I was looking for something to give me a really wide panoramic effect for landscape photography. This lens did not work for that. I had a lens in the past for a previous camera that did a great job but not this one. In fact it only slightly increased the wide angle view of my S3IS Canon before I began noticing dark corners in the frame. I returned it being more than happy to pay the return postage and the 15% restocking fee.

For the price, one should not have great expectations. The lens is OK, but is pretty much a novelty item with a single application. My 2 stars is based on overall quality, versatility, and use. I did keep mine, but will use it only very occasionally. It's not a "real" fish eye.
A great taste of fish-eye photography!.......2007-03-23
I am very happy with this lens. It's not a true fish-eye, but you get a really satisfying fish-eye effect using it. I bought it for my Canon S3 IS and I haven't had much chance to take any outdoor pictures as I live in the wilds of snowy Maine, but even indoors, the fish-eye effect was fun to experiment with and it seems to be a high-quality product.

The quality of the product (both construction and photographs) could be taken as very amateur and mediocre by the pros but hey... for the price, you can't beat it. It's a great price for a decent product. This is perfect for beginners; it won't dent your wallet and you really get a feel for what it's like to photograph in wide angle and fisheye.
