Amazon.com Product Description
With its compact, lightweight, and sleek design, you can take the Olympus Tracker binocular anywhere and still enjoy the great view. With a magnification of 10x to 30x and an objective lens diameter of 25mm, faraway images will be in sharp detail with brilliant clarity. The lens itself is made from special optical material to protect your eyes from harmful UV rays, while the full multicoating keeps maintains brightness and contrast.
The BaK-4 prisms have a high refractive index for complete edge-to-edge clarity. The center knob is in perfect placement for your fingers to comfortably adjust the focus. The built-in dioptric correction adjusts for individual eyesight so everyone can use the binocular to its full potential. The Tracker also has eyecups that twist up and down, allowing each user to personalize the binocular to their comfort, while the long eye relief is a necessary feature for eyeglass wearers.

Binoculars.......2007-05-24
Not a great item - doesn't do much and definitely not worth the price.
An Honest Product.......2007-05-14
These binoculars are really quite nice, very small and they work well, I would not say they are great, but for what they are and the price point they,re at they are well worth it, nice images, work easily, and small.
I,ve dragged them around with me all over, dropped them (in case) and still continue to work ok.
Good for a compact binocular.......2006-08-22
Overall it does what it is supposed to do. Compact size is a plus. The only complaint is the view gets dim when you zoom in a cloudy day.
Good price for the features.......2006-07-20
I bought this product just before a trip to Alaska - price was right, light weight and has good magnification. During use I noticed the Eye placement is not very comfortable, most of the time you will have to hold it slightly away from your eye - I wish it had soft receptacles like the other larger binocular that I have. Resting it over the eye would have provided a better support.
This would be a good buy if it is meant for light occasional use - standing on firm ground. Even at lowest maginification (because it is already 10x) there is a mild shake perhaps due to wind and unsteady hands.
If I had known how often I will be using the binoculars in a moving platform such as cruises, train and bus rides, I would have gone for one with optical image stabiliser.
Good bang for your buck.......2006-04-07
I bought these binoculars about a month ago and have been using it since. This pair does all that it promises, if not much more. The unit has a solid feel and does not look cheapy. The images at 10x are crisp but when you go 30x they get a tad dull given the 25mm lenses (I wont blame Olympus for this one since it is not a fault, just a way to cut size and costs. 50mm is the way to go if you dont mind the size).
I would've given it 5 stars had it not been for the zoom-lever; the lever sticks just a bit when I zoom to max almost giving a "grindy" feeling.
A couple of minor desirable features I'd like to see added:
1) Tripod support - if you have steady hands you are fine but at 30x even the slightest of shakes can make the image look blurry.
2) Lens caps - Given these babies cost me about $80 I'd like to see a pair of caps for the object lenses.
I will buy something with 50mm objective lenses and variable zoom if they came less bulkier.

Customer Reviews:
Good Compact Zoom Binocular for Its Price.......2002-08-12
For its price, it's a very nice 10-30x25 zoom binocular. At 10X, clarity and brightness is not much diff. than comparable fixed mag. 10x binocular. At 30X, the distortion and brightness are comparable to low-end fixed mag. 30x binocular. To change zoom while maintain targeting, I have to learn to focus with my left hand while zoom with right. It's different than my other binoculars but I get used to it after some practices. The twist up/down eyecups are a bit of annoyance.
Note: Be realistic in what any 30x25 binocular can do for you. Don't expect it can be held steady nor track object at 30x.
How do I buy this product.......2002-02-16
I want to purchase this product but I can't find the shopping cart on any other way to buy.
Bad zoom binoculars.......2001-11-16
When I decided to buy these they had a 3 star rating so I thought to myself, "How bad could they be?". My opinion? Worse than 3 stars.
I couldn't focus onto an image clearly at 10x zoom and at 30x it just gets worse. And even at 10x zoom, the field of view is very small so tracking an object can be difficult. If the sun isn't out and the day isn't clear, the image through the binoculars at full zoom is dim at best.
Olympus should have thought a little more before they released these. I'm going back to Canon optics.
not worth the money.......2001-08-09
If you think you can hold a compact set of binoculars with 30X magnification still enough to be of any value - you are wrong. Buy a fixed magnification pair of 7, 8 or 10 X and be happy. If you need more magnification, go to a full sized pair for greater image stability. Quality was poor. The plastic seemed cheap. The zoom was not smooth at all. I bought them and immediately returned them. I was very disappointed beacuse I am a loyal Olympus customer for compact 35 mm cameras and digital cameras. Thought the quality would carry over. I was wrong.
Great!.......2001-05-26
Really, I cannot figure out why this product has got such bad reviews. I have had mine for about a week and, honestly, I am impressed. I have two other binoculars and several cameras (including Olympus), so I am not totally green or new in the field. Of course, you cannot hold the Olympus Tracker Zoom totally steady when putting the zoom on 30x, and surely you cannot follow a bird when using 30X. And of course, you loose some sharpness and vivid colours putting the Olympus Tracker Zoom on 25-30x (you always do!), but still it is pretty good quality. And on 10-20x it is really sharp and vivid! And at a price of $99 I will give it 5 stars - without hesitation.
