This exotic, dielectric, nonmetallic coating is 99% reflective across the full visual spectrum, resulting in the "whitest," most natural image available. The coating is painstakingly applied to Pyrex with a surface accuracy of a 1/10 wave flatness. The Everbrite is offered in both 1¼" and 2" models. The diagonal bodies of each are machined from solid blocks of aluminum. In this way we can insure permanent alignment. The one piece body construction also assures heavy accessories can't force the diagonal body to "unscrew" from the barrel as with other brands. Both the 1¼" and 2" models feature brass clamp rings, anti-reflection threads and 1¼" and 48mm filter threads respectively.

This is the same 2-inch Star Diagonal that comes with the Tele-Vue 85 and the Pronto. Exquisitely crafted to fold light exactly 90 degrees. The mirror blank is polished to 1/10th the wavelength of light and vacuum coated with enhanced aluminum 96 percent reflectivity. Then it's overcoated to protect the delicate mirrored surface. To ensure the optical alignment of the diagonal, the body is CNC machined from one solid block of aluminum. For maximum contrast anti-reflection threads are cut into the inner surfaces, and 48mm filter threads are included. All 2" diagonals feature brass clamp ring for extra secure, no-mar operation.

Product Description
This Version utilizes the same construction as the 2" Everbrite Diagonal #DPC-2002, except for the shorter front. This new "short front" Diagonal was designed to allow more "through fork" motion when used with the new ACS-0004 Short tube Schmidt Cassegrain Adapter. This Diagonal can also be used in any other 2" Diagonal application as well. However the Standard 2" Everbrite Diagonal (DPC-2002) provides increased locking stability in non SCT applications
Important notes for users of f/6.3 SCT Reducers 1) The ACS-0004 & DPS-2004 combination may also be used with f/6.3 SCT focal reducers, permitting larger fields of view with 2" eyepieces. However, the additional physical length of the f/6.3 reducer means the ACS-0004 & DPS-2004 combination will no longer pass through the fork arms of some SCT's 2) With the extra path length of the 2" Diagonal, the f/6.3 converter will actually produce an f/5.5 system. This combination works well with the Tele Vue 27mm Panoptic, yielding a 1.5 ° true field of view with a C-8. Note that longer focal length 2" eyepieces may vignette severely. Also, some eyepieces (such as 2" Naglers) may not reach focus with this combination due to their shorter path length. 3) When the 2" diagonal is used with 1¼" eyepieces, the Tele Vue 2" Converter Adapter (CEA-2125, Adorama SKU #TVA21QC) should be used to assure that focus is reached.
