IT IS UNFAIR for IGNORANT people who buy something that was NEVER intended for use with the type of Camera They have and then because it is too big, because it is MEANT TO BE USED FOR A SLR DIGITAL CAMERA leave a negative review about the strap is WRONG, in a case like this, it would be best to NOT even rate it at all, as I AM SURE this person was given their money back with no questions asked!
I own THIS STRAP AND IT IS EXCELLENT, AND WELL PADDED AS IT SHOULD BE, for use with my NIKON D80 WHICH IS A DIGITAL SLR CAMERA. I THINK THE PRICE AND QUALITY ARE BOTH EXCELLENT!!
Okay for bulky gear........2007-01-10
The straps are good for heavy or bulky camera gear. They are way too massive for the smaller digital cameras, i.e. Olympus Camedia and Canon IS2.

Nothing wrong about it, small, compact and fits the camera....
But it doesn't fit accessories you may to carry... At max, you can carry the battery and couple of cables in it... If that's your requirement (having it compact), it's great.

This carrying case is small, I have a Sony HDR-SR7 and it fits ok with the regular battery but if you use the more powerfull bigger battery the case barely closes, you have to force the zipper to close. You can keep the other battery in the front pocket but there is no space for cables.

I was concerned when I purchased this case that it would not be workable for my Nikon D80 and the 18-135mm lens.
It works well, has a belt strap, shoulder strap, and a net/pouch inside the case cover that is handy for SD Card and battery storage.

Kata APSS-DH-N Shoulder strap.......2007-11-24
Having to carry 20, to 30 pounds of photo equiptment in my bag to a shoot this strap is a life saver, and is very much up to the job.

I have used other shoulder straps (Lowepro & Victorinox), but this felt "lighter" for me.
The shoulder padding is "quilted" with ribbings and troughs for air flow.
I have 2 quibbles about this product: one is that the clips are labeled as "metal" on the Product Insert, but they were "plastic" in the one they delivered. I emailed Kata about this, and they said they have changed the clips to plastic but haven't updated the Product Insert yet.
The other quibble is that Kata personnel do not know the Load Limit for this shoulder strap. I think it's important to know the Load Limit of a shoulder strap, especially if it has *plastic* clips, before I can trust my camera equipment to it. I tend to overload my Tamrac System 8 Camera Bag, so I don't trust the plastic clips.
What I did was to use carabiners instead of the plastic clips to attach the shoulder strap to my camera bag.
Doesn't look as good, but works well.

Works really fine for what it's meant to be! A little side pocket to put a filter and spare memory stick would be nice, but is missing. The one I had for my Sony DSC-H1 had it... maybe you should buy the new A100 bag instead!
