Great price. Good product. When all you need is something to bounce the light, it is nice to have a tool that is compact and well-made. I will not be using it often, so I really don't think it necessary to buy top of the line reflectors. Works just fine for my purposes.

I just received this today and am impressed with it. Very good value for the money. Folds down to a nice size and seems very large when open. I'd recommend this to someone who is looking for a decent reflector at a good price.

The 5-in-1 reflector is great. I'm glad I don't plan on taking out with me, as I cannot get it to fold back up and into it's container. And it is a bit heavy for the stand which comes with it. You will need sand bags or something to hold it down. The DVD is 1h 50m of a lot of information.

I bought this reflector for my studio lighting. This WESTCOTT product is absolutly a high quality product for serious photogrpahers and personally i high recommend to buy it. I'm very satisfied with the product and price. I'll buy other reflector soon..maybe the square one or the same kit. Shipping was more faster i thought, i got it 2nd day after i bought. fast uhm? ;)

Reflector NICE, stand is CHEAP........2007-11-04

I wanted to love this product, but was so disappointed in the quality of the stand (mine was defective--the ball joint would not budge so neither I nor a partner could attach the arm to the stand). I had to return it. The clips are plastic and one of those would not work either. It's so flimsy even the DVD says you'll need a "sandbag" to anchor it if there is any wind (outdoor shots). Great idea, but wish they had a better stand to offer. The reflector looked good, but based on the quality of the stand I'd have concerns about the longevity of the zippers, too.

Great Value and product.......2007-11-01

I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about improving their photos. I take the majority of my portait photography outdoors in the early morning sun. The reflectors added and diffused light just where it was needed to make my portraits pop. The stand and arm were wonderful to have since I don't always have someone to help me. The only problem I had was it getting a little top heavy when the arm was fully extended to the side. So be sure you take a sand bag or something to stabilize the base. The DVD was helpful, wish it would have covered the reflectors in a little more detail. All in all a great value and great product.

Reflector Kit Great Value .......2007-10-24

Fun to use and practical. Once you figure out how to connect the reflector to the stand, the only downside is making sure it doesn't tip over. If you use it inside, turn off any fans. If you use it outside, leave the stand and get someone to hold the reflector. All-in-all this is a great value.

I am used to using strobes but found this constant light set to work rather well. My lights did arrive ontime but two of the lights weren't working. I called Westcott Photo Basics directly and was very happy with their great service. They had me ship the two heads back to them free of charge and was returned in a fast amount of time. The background could be a little thicker but still works well. I have my own background stands so I didn't need their hooks with adhesive strips. Also haven't used their fool proof floor mat but for people who may need it I think it is a good idea. The DVD is also ok for people who haven't photographed people.
Over all this is a great set for the money.

Construction is good except for the plastic stops on the spring clamps. I found a spring and hook loose in the shipping bag. Plastic stop on the mating part is nothing more than flash at the injection mold parting line.

Bought this to shoot trinkets for eBay. The tent is well made and does not cast shadows. There is a door with s slit that velcros on to the front that keeps reflections off the object. The fabric diffuses the light a lot so use some powerful bulbs. The interior is big enough to hold a motorcycle helmet, but not anything much larger. Nice product.
