With technology growing faster and faster it is hard to find things sometimes for a vcr. This was not hard because VCR'S are not as outdated as they could be yet. I had not cleaned mine for years and I got this and it cleaned it very well. It did it's job not the best product out there but it worked.

Sometimes it just simply doesn't work and you have to eject it and put it back in a couple of times, in the meantime the solution had already evaporated.

I have used this cleaner in several different VHS players (Panasonic, RCA, etc) and it works fine. The person that said their VCR player was rejecting the tape may have received a tape that was broken or damaged during shipping. This works very well for me. Also, my heads were extremely dirty...it was so bad that a TV recording would look so fuzzy you couldn't hardly watch it...now it's crystal clear! Definitely worth the price too!!!! One of my friends went to Walmart and paid more than eleven dollars for a similar tape cleaner (what a rip off). Buy this one instead...it's cheap and it works well (at least for me anyway).

Great idea, decent product.......2006-03-30
I recently bought this for my sd500 so I could experiment with other lenses. Right out of the box I attached it to my camera and powered up, only to hear a grinding noise and find out the lens couldn't open (the LCD also displayed an error message). Fortunately my lens motor wasn't damaged - I just had to remove this adaptor and power on again for the camera to fix itself.
The adapter is JUST big enough for your lens to come out so just make sure you have it lined up exactly, or simply put this on once your camera is powered up and the lens is extended. Screwing the adapter into the tripod hole will not necessarly line this up perfectly.
One you get past this alignment issue this product is pretty nice, I have a fisheye lens I can attach and 3 macro lenses.
