Sleepy Mouse.......2007-12-10
This mouse is hard to get it to attach. Had to fight it each time I logged onto my laptop. Then it drops off unexpectidly. Skips around so bad that you have to watch the screen constantly. Often you loose an entire e-mail message before completion. It's in the junk drawer now (but not collecting germs). Logitech MX610 Left Hand is the Cat's MEOW!

Great mouse! I like the small size, compared to what I was used to using. I don't know if it's protecting me from germs, but I do like the feel of it. The cursor is sensitive but I'll get used to it!

Don't purchase this mouse unless you're prepared to put two new AAA batteries in it about once a month.
The cost of batteries soon outweight the cost of the mouse and I stated thinking if they are a part of Duracel.
A+ for design and responsiveness though, but what's the point?
I Think My "Germ-Free Mouse" Had a Virus, It Worked So Poorly!.......2007-01-28
Wow - what a HUGE disappointment this mouse is. And so is the Iogear website and tech support - or lack thereof. I received this mouse as an asked-for Christmas gift and it never worked right from the get-go. Thinking maybe I could get it fixed with a little tech support, I called all night to try and get through to Iogear's 24/7 tech support line (as it's advertised on their site) and all I got was an "all circuits are busy" message. To top that off, the "Tech Support Form" link doesn't work - it brings me to a dead page. Even a detailed e-mail (which this review is based on) didn't get a response. Just terrible.
As far as the mouse is concerned I've sent it back to Amazon and asked for my money back. After installing the mouse and trying it in different permutations for several days it only worked sporadically at best. To wit:
*First off, there was no color to the laser light that I could see. When I first turned it on I got a BRIEF flash of red light through the translucent scroll wheel, then nothing. It *did* seem to be tracking though, which was kinda weird, but I would think that wheel isn't translucent for nothing - and that it should be lit up with the color from the laser.
*Secondly XP was still showing a Microsoft mouse as being installed when I checked the hardware profile in the Control Panel. The mouse that was replaced by the GME227RW6 was a Dell wired ball mouse. Why doesn't it show the Iogear mouse?
*Thirdly, that scroll wheel didn't light up, and I wondered whether the blue LEDs along the back should be lit. They look like they should be but they aren't.
*Fourthly, where in the heck is the "low battery light" mentioned on page 18 of the user's guide? That's the only place anything is said about it, there is no illustration of where it is. As a tech writer I find that eminently annoying.
*Fifthly, I had to wail on the left and right buttons in order to get a click to work on-screen. The receiver LED blinked so I knew it was acknowledging the signal, but nothing happened! It was REALLY frustrating. And forget right-clicking, that hardly EVER worked! (And yes, the batteries were freshly charged, so I knew it wasn't that.)
*Sixthly, how does someone program the mouse scroll wheel as a middle button? It says on page 16 of the manual the scroll wheel can function "as a customized button" but once again there was no explanation on how to "customize" it. BAD!
*Seventhly, the connectivity of the receiver-to-mouse was POOR. I plugged the receiver into the back of my PC, maybe 4 feet from the mouse or so, and it had lots of trouble picking up the signal. Even with my front USB connections the mouse got "blocked" simply by placing it next to the keyboard. My MS wireless ball mouse worked from across the room - this one is LAME!!!
*Finally, no where anywhere in any of the advertising does it say this thing is a notebook/laptop mouse. I was expecting a full-sized mouse. I could have LIVED with the small size mind you, but there should have been some disclosure that this wasn't a desktop mouse. I'm not the only one that's run into that conundrum BTW - just check some of the other reviews on Amazon.
So, still want to but this thing? Got any answers to these questions? I'm just curious why this thing is such a piece of junk. Maybe I just received a bad one but the lack of ANY tech support on Iogear's part left me cold. I'm going to my local computer brick-and-mortar where I can test-drive and "feel" the equipment. A wireless keyboard and mouse combo by anyone OTHER THAN Iogear will be the next step.
Mighty Mouse has a short life........2007-01-09
The Iogear GME227RW6 germ-free wireless laser mouse works great and has great response movement. However, it has an extremely short battery life and is too small for a comfortable hand fit. I was surprised to find out (after I received it) that it is a notebook mouse rather than a desktop mouse.

Great for recording...not so much for pictures..........2007-11-26
I've had this camcorder for quite some time now and so far so good. Tapes are easy to put in and take out, does use a lot of battery power, but you get two batteries so basically 2 hours worth or record.
You can also place a memory card in for taking pictures...the pictures when developed do NOT turn out well at all. But if you just want the pictures to put online or send to family then they are good. So if you are expecting to hit two birds with one stone with this camcorder you won't. It makes great videos but not great pictures.
It has lots of extra features: fade in and out, black and white, date, time stamp...pretty much everything you could want. It doesn't have nightshot though which is sad. But in nightshot everyone looks green and scary anyway, but it still would have been nice.
All in all i like this, small size and packs some heat. I'd recommend this one. It's the one i decided on after HOURS of research.

For a 100$ dollars i think its fine for a beginner.
If you think to go further in astronomy, go for a better telescope.

Worst Packaging ever seen........2007-06-15
The worst packaging of a "sensitive, fragile" instrument I have ever seen. There were holes in the inside item boxes where the Scope had rubbed and worn thru the cardboard! No foam or cardboard baffles in any of the boxes, to sabalize movement. The Scope was in a plastic bag, loose, rattling around in its box. The counterweight punched thru its box and the outer box.
This is a fathers day present, won't know if it even works until the gift is given this weekend.
...Was this a returned used item??? ...Is this how the manufacturer treats there products???
(I bought a Meade scope couple years ago, came packed safely and securely).

Galileo reflector telescope.......2007-06-06
Definitely not for beginners. But intermediate and advanced users will appreciate the telescope. The dvd is helpful and has a powerful planetarium that is also useful tool.
The advanced tripod would be a better option than the standard one and we should be given the option as to which one we like and be able to buy either tripod.
over all, this was a good purchase.
