Flashy but not durable.......2007-10-19
I bought this keyboard because it had all the features I wanted, the wrist rest, the glide pad, the hot keys, the ergonomic design, but I was very disappointed that he right space bar lasted only 4 months on my first keyboard and only 2 months on the second (identical) keyboard that I purchased. I type a lot and give any keyboard a workout. The Tru-form Pro Media Contoured Touchpad Keyboard, is not durable enough for my use. I mean, a functional space bar is essential. I also noted that almost all of the keys have to be depressed exactly at the correct angle or there is a crunching sound. I approached Adesso for an exchange for a different board, but, after a month, they are still dragging their feet. Do not purchase this keyboard if you need a durable piece of equipment. Iam out a chunk of change and still typing on a keyboard I purchased at Goodwill a good while back. It is not pretty, but it does not miss a day of work.
Tru-form Review.......2007-07-18
This keyboard was advertised as White, it is truly a putty color. The base of the keyboard is a smooth rubbery texture which I love, no dust can dig in there!
The keys are smooth and smart keys are at the top of the keyboard and sit in a silvery base. The ususals there; home, favorites, e-mail, etc. There is also a power, sleep and wake-up key above the numeric pad which I assume is now standard on most keyboards. They are silver also.
The entire keyboard is a bit deep for my platform, be careful about that when ordering. The width is okay. I have carpal tunnel and the curve of the base and center touch pad have saved me from surgery. This is my second Tru-form and I can't say much of anything bad about it. My only negative comment on the Tru-form is the split cable you must have to use it. It does not come with the keyboard.
