If you are looking for a keyboard-as-a-mono-hub with a single USB 2.0, but otherwise has the same kind of dome membrane switch you find on five dollar keyboards... then this keyboard will fit the bill.

If you are looking for a keyboard you will actually want to type on, consider the Matias Tactile Pro 2.0 keyboard. Two models, one for Mac, one for PC or Mac. That is the Matias flagship keyboard, and it has a single USB 2.0 port as well, with a pleasant tickety-tick mechanical switch key mechanism. Just a hair below happy-finger-nirvana from the louder clickety-clack of the old IBM PC buckling spring technology keyboards.

This keyboard has been a very good value.The 2.0 usb port is the main reason I purchased this model, and it's fast & easy to access. For anyone with a flash drive or an I-pod to connect, this board is it. I also find I like the multiple character access available on each key. 3 or 4 characters are achieveable from each key, depending on shift or control. The keys have a nice feel with a positive contact that gives you the feedback that you depressed the key but not hard to stroke. For those that remember typewriters, this keyboard has a better feel than some computer keyboards I've used. The price was also a pleasant feature and I really don't know why anyone wouldn't like this keyboard. I've had it now for about a month so if I were to have a complaint it would have arisen by now.

Why switch keys around?.......2007-05-17

everything is good with the keyboard, keys responsive - a little to 'springy' for me.
2 usb plugs you need to plug into the computer - then you get 3 usb ports on the keyboard. one directly above 11/12 number keys.

* THE BIG GRIPE - moving the cap locks key to bottom right of keyboard (IN BETWEEN option and control!) and having another control key where caps lock normally is. ?!?!?!? How about keeping the keys where we're used to them. As a lefty, i NEED to access the option/control keys on the right.... i don't need an extra key in the middle to confuse me.

I'm in two minds about this product.

The USB2 is great though the positioning is a bit suspect as i find that the cable for whatever I plug in tends to naturally lie across the keys.

The extra symbols are great but can make it look like a spider has crawled across it, stopping the primary letters from standing out.

The key action is why I dropped a star. I was using a Macally Icekey (scissor/laptop action) that was great but it failed after a few months. I just find the key travel long and the resistance uncomfortable, maybe I'll get used to it.

So, in summary, a nice keyboard but would be improved with scissor action.

My husband is in a rehab hospital. He watches DVD's almost 24 hours a day. He can reach the case in his bedside table and easily get another DVD when he wants to watch a different DVD. The case fits in the drawer such that even with limited mobility he can lift it out and unzip the case.

I am loving it!.......2007-12-07

This one is a winner. I havent put it to too much test because I am still waiting for my 32GB P2 cards. I had done a bit of testing with the FS-100 HD and had to return it double fast. If you want to fully enjoy the use of this camera, its best to go with the P2 cards, they are light-weight and dont have any moving parts. The FS-100s are clumsy, although a great idea, you could easily pull the firewire cord without realising it and waste several hours of valuable recording in the process.
