I received this item broken when it arrived. I too was misguided by the previous good reviews, but after looking at it, it takes up too much space, poorly engineered and is an overall inferior product.

A great way to store disks in your office. The drawer slides out with one touch; the case is solid enough and with rubber feet so that it stays glued to the shelf, the front door tilts forward so that you can flip the pockets forward as you search for a disk...

Purchased this item approx. 2yrs. ago---outgrew it lok everywhere possible then found it @ amazon/com--different/easy to use/attractive/long lasting we simply wanted to seperate our cd's&dvd's but wanted a match sure glad we did lso the price cannot be beaten.

I have to transfer 35 hours of digital8 video from tape to DVD and my old camcorder gave up. Repair would have been more expensive than buying this new one, which I did. Glad to se that it was still possible to get a european PAL capable D8 camcorder to save the first 15 years of my doughters behavings!!

I have been researching binoculars for long time. The 124RB is a quality binocular. The fully coated lens, the zoom feature and the BAK-4 prisms. I finally found a good price for the Tasco model no. 124RB. It is worth every $262 I paid. If you don't have steady hands make sure you get the tripod.
Outrageous product for the price.......2001-10-12
I've had my Tasco 12-60X/70mm binoculars for quite a while now. They do take a little getting used to, and if you are going to use them at a high power zoom - you HAVE to get a secure tripod or other mount for it. You also must aquaint yourself with how to adjust the eyepieces to allow you to use the binoculars without your glasses. I have a severe pair of glasses and this pair of binoculars has enough latitude to adjust to MY eyes. The Rubicon lenses are stellar. I believe the capabilities, the quality and size of these binoculars is without parallel under $.... The one question to ask is what are you going to use the binoculars for? A nice little non zoom 7X/50 or other will be a better fit for many uses. But if high power, zoom and large lenses for use even when the light is less than optimal are what you are looking for - you would be hard pressed to do better than these binoculars.

The tripod adapter is no egough sturdy to support binos, so you will have problem with vibratios.

I think, the w.l.jones had a problem using the binoculars! Probably never used zoom binoculars before and didn't know how to focus them properly! The binoculars are great for the price and (Tasco is not stupid, to come with a terrible finish product) the quality. I have seen other expensive binoculars much less power and very very expensive price tag! Wow! People pay $700 to $1500 for binoculars that are half as powerful! This is a great buy at this price!
Disappointing performance.......2001-07-11
These binoculars are fine at 12X, but almost totally unusable above 20X. The field of view becomes increasingly smaller until at 60X you are looking through a fuzzy peephole. There was a defect in the left optics, either a piece of dirt or a nick in one of the optical units. Ather five minutes of use I packed them up and sent them back.
