Sort of clunky.......2007-03-23
This mouse has a lot of high tech features, which all work well, however my hand gets uncomfortable after a few hours of intense gaming. The mouse is not an ergonomic design (see Logitech mice).It is big, and it forces your 4th and 5th fingers to assume an unaturally elevated position.
I went back to my old Logitech mouse, it isn't as fancy, but it is very comfy.
I'm disappointed. I was really looking forward to this mouse.

the mouse is pretty. Very pretty. Like Saitek's other stuff it is a looker. But it also has a cheap feel to the buttons and the loosness when using the wheel much like what happened when I broke my logitech. The difference? the logitech wasn't "broke" to begin with. This one has a very flimsy feel to the wheel. If you have wide hands it is a great mouse as far as handling yet if you also have only average or short fingers to those hands it ain't! Unless you have piano fingers on the end, You'll need to move the heel of your hand foreward to an awkward position requiring you to lift the shoulder. Don't. YOu can get rotatior cuff syndrome from over shoulder use. lifting the heel of youir hand off the surface of your desk is overrated tripe and poor health advice, I advice you rest it and punch the DPI to hyperdrive(3200 max here). Carpel tunnel isn't a prob here, this thing is huge and the buttons have a long stroke to the movements. asside from the 3200 D, this thing isn't that revolutionary(but it sure looks it). The on-the-fly acceloration w/o drivers is used in all gaming mice these days and the precisison is the same as slower ones. I don't like frills in software and FSS is nothing but. However, the mouse, as said brfore can beused to full effect without it. You will probably frag fine in Doom or Battlefield, but not any more than the next guy. as for strategy(and RPG which is essencially the same requesites) it can be toed with a larger front pad for stability and, like logitech can be wieghed to percision, but weights aren't as important as the internal components which, are no different or better than any other.(But 1010FaTal1ty sux in comparison for not even having THAT). should you pick this one over logitech? No. not ovver it, but they both have the same things logi SEEMED more durible but mine broke donw in a month from heavy use in Dark Messiah. Logi has a nice fabric cord and is less likely to crimp but some of it is just an illusion of being tough and it is just as flimsy as this.(or more so)

great scope for the price.......2005-12-13
When it came to getting a spotting scope for birdwatching, I dragged my feet for 10 years. I did not want to waste money on a substandard scope, but couldn't stomach spending all that money on a Swarovski or a Leica. I finally set out to buy a scope, and I compared this Nikon Fieldscope with comparable new Swarovski and Leicas (that is, HD optics with their largest available objectives) - outside, where it matters, not with a silly optics chart indoors. The new high end scopes are definitely compact and sexy, but at $1000 less (once you factor in the cost of eyepieces), the view you get with this brilliantly bright 82 mm Nikon is equivalent.
