Warning about drive-through car washes.......2007-12-04
I had these on my car for quite awhile and had been through the car wash a few times with them and the last time they cost me a new tire. when I entered the car wash, the valve cap on my front left tire hit part of the conveyor system, or possibly some other part of the car wash. The clear plastic part broke off of the cap and the remaining piece (the black part) began draining my tire until it was flat.
My tire was destroyed because I didn't catch it in time. So, because of these cheaply made, badly designed caps I am now out $130 for a new tire. The main design flaw with these is they stick out too far - that is why they hit whatever they hit inside of the car wash.
Needless to say, I will never use these again and I cannot recommend them, whether you use drive-through car washes or not, because they are so easily broken.

The car wash owners are not legally responsible for anything that happens to your vehicle. It's not their fault anyway - It's mostly the fault of whoever produced these junky caps and it's partially my fault for using them.

I had the same leakage problem as Micah on two different sets. In both situations only one of the four caps had significant leakage, but in both cases it was bad enough to drop 10 psi in a week.

These caps are used as replacements for your vehicle's valve caps, and act as individual tire gauges. Simply remove the old caps, inflate your tires to the recommended psi, install the Tire Pressure Valve Caps and you're ready to go.
Of course, you should continue to regularly inspect your tires, but when you don't have the time, it's nice to be able to just glance at the caps and know the status of the pressure in each tire.
When the caps are green, the pressure is ok. When the color is changing from green to red, you know that the tire(s) require your attention. When the color is red, the tire is under-inflated. It's as simple as that.
I believe that the caps come in both 32 and 36 psi, so be aware of this if/when you order. If you normally inflate your tires to 32, it wouldn't be prudent to get the 36 psi caps because the valve would always stay in the red region -- even though the tire is properly inflated. With that in mind, if the recommended pressure for your tires is below 32 psi -- 28, for example -- neither of these products would do you much good.
I think the valves are handy and have been using them for 4-5 months without problem. I did notice that, after inflating the tire and then reinstalling the cap, I did hear the sound of air escaping. However, if you use one hand to hold the tire's stem while tightening the cap with the other, the airflow stops. I tried tightening the cap with one hand, but felt that this method put unnecessary strain on the stem.

I tried these on two different cars and several tires leaked down over a couple of weeks. My first suspicion was these valve caps which turned out to be correct after I sprayed a mixture of soap and water on the caps. There was a very slow leak around the cap seals.
Sorry, but this product is a terrible idea because it permanently opens your valves. That's just asking for a leak to occur due to leaking seals, sun-cracked valve housing, etc.
The in-tire pressure system may be expensive but at least it doesn't cause a leak in your tires.

I paid $140 online, cudnt get the MP3 to work, the photos outside wer OK didnt try any inside, I got it for my wife but sent it back right away an got her a full featured 4 MP Kodak for $90

I bought this a year ago. It sucks. I cant take any pictures inside even with bright light. It looks like I'm in a cave. It was cheap for a reason. Do not buy this camera. I cant even get the mp3 function to work.

Only reason I got this camera really was because of its great rechargeable lithium polymer battery. No more buying batteries for my camera, and it has longer battery life. Also, I only paid 49.99 for this camera at wal-mart.

I found this camera on clearance for $49 at WalMart, and I bought it for my daughter. No, it's not perfect, but I think it's an excellent camera for $49! Would I suggest paying full list price? No. As other reviews said, the flash has issues. But if you can buy this item for under $50, I say go for it! My daughter loved it!

I had gotten a kodak 3mp camera for christmas, it broke after the first day and I was never given the recept, so I could not return it. I through away the warrenty info, if there even was one so i was left with no alternative but to buy my own. I got it at wall-mart for 140$. My kodak was big and ugly and not too easy to use. this camera by contrast is really sleek and super easy to use. I really didnt need the mp3 feature but its a nice addition. Im not like a photographer or any thing but the pictures come out pretty good. yes the flash does white out some of the pictures but only when you are really close (less than 3 feet). I really like the look, reminds me of an ipod. I have yet to make prints but on my computer they look pretty good. Good price, nice package, bonus Mp3 player (would not suggest this for an everyday, stand alone MP3 player), decent pic quality, im happy.
