This little fan is perfect for my situation. It is small, only about 6 inches tall, 5 inches deep and 5 inches wide, and therefore I can be discreet when I'm having a hormonal heatwave and need something to cool my face. It is exactly what I needed! It's not meant to take the place of office air conditioning, but adds an extra little breeze of comfort when I need it.

I was disappointed with this item. The item description is wrong- in my opinion. Unless you put you face right next to it you can not feel a breeze. useless. dont buy.
Quiet but weak.......2007-09-03
If you want a really quiet fan, this fan is for you. However, if you want a powerful fan, steer clear of this one.
It has two speeds, but even the higher setting blows quite weak. My battery operated fan blows harder than this one (at least when the batteries are fresh). The only advantage that it has over my battery operated fan is that it doesn't use batteries so you don't have to worry about it getting weaker as the batteries run out.
Theoretically, the fan can be ajusted so that you can choose how high it points up, but I've found that the weight of the fan is stronger than the screws that hold it place, so it always ends up lower itself to level with the desk given a few minutes.
So, if you want a small, quiet fan that plugs into the wall, then you may like this one. But, if you want a fan that's powerful, don't get it. One of my co-workers has a desktop fan of the same size that blows way harder than this one. I think that I'm going to try and find that one.

5 star rating based on what the product is supposed to be. While it could have more features.. for the product it's advertised as, it is definitely top notch.
Some information that's not obvious...
The front grill is lightweight metal, not just plastic.
It has a slot on the bottom for a mounting screw. May be useful for an environment where it would normally bounce, move or fall off of the surface it's on. Could even mount it on a wall angled down.
It seems built to prevent any kind of vibration problems, like rattling, etc. It also makes very little noise to begin with. I would think it'd be hard to be any quieter than it is.

This great little fan is cool and perfect for the desk at work, kitchen or bed side. It runs quiet and won't bother or annoy you with any kind of buzz sound or humming. Great price and a must have as far as fans go! Now I own 2 since i liked this product so much!!!
