No good for my needs.......2007-06-17

I'm a strong supporter of rechargeable batteries, but at 7.2 Volts, this just doesn't meet my needs. Devices that use batteries are designed to work across a range of voltages because as the battery is used, the voltage slowly drops until the battery just runs out of juice. When the dying battery crosses a certain voltage threshold, some devices warn you of a low battery. This is a good thing, because you don't want, say, your smoke alarm to need to go onto backup battery power and not have the juice it needs. The problem here is that the devices I use seem to cross the low battery voltage threshold somewhere around 7.0 volts. That is to say, I put a fully charged battery in there and before I know it (about 1 week or 2), the low battery light comes on in my answering machine or the smoke alarm starts doing it's low battery beeping thing. Nope, this is no good. I suggest you steer clear of Energizer and go for another brand that has an 8.4 nominal voltage (or better yet 9.6 if that extra .6V isn't going to harm your device--NiMH cells go in increments of 1.2 V so as far as I know there is no way to get a 9.0 V battery).

Sure this will work in many devices, but I really don't see why Energizer opted to go for a 7.2V battery instead of 8.4V other than to save a small amount of money. That seems like a very off-brand sort of thing to do. 1 star only from me.

Get a real 9 volt battery.......2007-03-10

This battery, like other rechargable batteries I own, is rated for 8.4 volts and I'm told is likely even less. Why not go with Maha? It's rated at over 9 volts, which for my applications (powering a headroom micro dac) makes all the difference. I can only imagine that a battery with a rating which conforms to a devices' designated power requirements, is better across the board.

Our Las Vegas videographers use the Energizer 9 volt rechargeables in our wireless mics for many of our events. They are great for high power over short periods of time. I'm sure they would be horrible in baby monitors, smoke detectors, etc. but that is not what they are really made for. Good solid battery but costs a bit more than its competitor "Rayovac" 9 volt rechargeables.

Not really 9V, long charge times, short life.......2006-08-03

I purchased these batteries to use in a small baby monitor that requires 9-volt batteries. Alkalines lasted a good week of the monitor being on quite often; these rechargeables last about 2 days on average. I discovered they are really only 7.2-volt batteries (hidden in the packaging) but they work with my monitor just fine. The batteries take 10 to 13 hours for a full charge which is pretty ridiculous! I guess they pay for themselves over time, and seem to be the best 9-volt rechargeable product that is out there, but it is almost a step backward from alkaline batteries.

I use several of these for my paintball gear. It is something that is a use it or loose it type thing. They aren't designed to be used over a long term. Charge them, use them, and then recharge them before next use. They are designed to be that way. Not for a smoke detector, that is for sure. They have a higher flow rate, meaning when I put it in my paintball hopper, I know that I am good to go for the day. When I am done for the day, I just take it out and wait till the night before its next use, then charge it back up. With no fear of it failing on me the day of use. I highly suggest it for uses such as mine, or digi cams and the like. Something that requires a lot of power for a short term.

Good basic wireless keyboard/mouse set.......2007-04-10

This is a great basic wireless keyboard/mouse set. Works great for the price. It does not eat up batteries, regular batteries can last a good 3-4 months before you have to change them. The keyboard works right out of the box, you don't have to install any software unless you want to use the special shortcut keys, but I recommend against installing included software, it is buggy and may mess up your USB drivers. The range on this is about 3 feet, I wish it was longer, but the usb receiver has long cord so you can position it at an optimal distance for your setup.

Very disappointed.......2007-12-27

This camera worked fine for about a year. It ate batteries but took OK pictures. First the door to the battery compartment broke; then I started getting "file error" & was not able to view my photos on the camera screen. Finally, I couldn't turn it on - the button would NOT work at all. Very disappointed - will not buy another SONY.

Great little camera.......2007-09-01

I got this camera for Mother's Day two years ago and am very happy with it. Only problem I had is that it eats batteries but I got a charger and all is well. Am not good at reading manuals but the service people at Sony were extremely helpful and patient with me. I'd highly recommend this product.
