I had heard others say that certian of the "off-brand" batteries that are on the market for the Panasonic FZ20 were junk. I took a chance and ordered, and I am very pleased! It seemed a little snug when it first went in the camera, but the second time it went right in just like the original, AND this one does not have the problems others have of not staying in the charger. Great Buy!!

We ordered the PowerSmart DPS003 Li-ion battery pack as a spare/backup for our Panasonic DMZ-FC20 digital camera. We have used this rechargeble battery for nearly a month, alternating between the original Panasonic and this new spare. We have not been disappointed in any way. Our camera gets almost daily use with lots of flash and zooming activity. The PowerSmart battery has so far functioned just as well as the original Panasonic; charging, holding the charge and powering the camera through more than 200 image-recording cycles on a single charge.

A brilliant and effective combination of a USB drive with Wifi detector. As a road warrior who needs frequent connectivity, I can use this well-designed devise to not only let me know if a Wifi signal exists, but whether it's secure or open, the band and other signal details. In short, it helps me to move to a workable location without having to boot each time I want to test for a usable signal!

What I like most about this device is the fact that you can store up to 512 megabytes of information on it as a USB flash drive, but it doubles as a WiFi network detector. You can use it to find a hotspot available wherever your are.
The device plugs into your USB port to double as a 512 MB flash drive and a wireless client device (an 802.11b/g USB network interface card). The adapter supports WPA and WPA2 both Enterprise (needing a RADIUS server) and Personal (also known as pre-shared key) for enhanced security beyond the extremely weak WEP encryption.
The coolest part, to me, was the fact that, since there is a built-in flash drive, the drivers for the device automatically install from the drive. That's right! You can plug this baby into any Windows XP laptop or desktop and configure wireless network access without the need for CDs for device drivers. Wow! What a concept!
I am the author of the Wireless# Certification Official Study Guide and the CWSP (Certified Wireless Security Professional) Certification Official Study Guide from McGraw-Hill, because of this, I've tested and reviewed hundreds of wireless devices. This one tops my list. If you travel a lot, it is a must have. If you want a cool toy (to show off to your friends at work) get it too!
Sadly, they've removed the ability for this device to act like an access point (software-based AP), but that is still in the older TEW-429UB available here at Amazon.com. This older model did not have the 512 MB flash drive. I guess we can't have it all (yet).

A little advice.......2001-03-27
I just received this Transport and am mildly unhappy with it. For those of you who might not have thought of it, here is a little advice: Check and see where your buttons are (play, ff, rewind) and then look at the picture of the case with the cd player in it. Guess where my buttons are? I have the Koss player with the tranparent blue lid. Yup, buried under the snap lock and the nylon sheeth. It seems of pretty good quality, but the loops are a little tight on mine and you can already guess where it's going to wear out but that's just conjecture. There's a tiny zipper pocket in it, that looks like it might hold 2 AA batteries and some keys (off the keyring) and that's about it. All in all, not a bad idea - we'll see how well it serves it's purpose. Add a star if your buttons are accessible.

This was a neat idea, and definatly something you should check out. I have not seen cd-player "transport" product of this quality. I think that if you don't have something to fill this job, you definatly should check this out. I use mine all of the time, and it has some wear, so watch out.
