First off, I'd like to say a little something about the folks at Good Work Systems. They are absolutely outstanding and I don't think I've ever had better customer service. All my emails to them were replied within 10 minutes with long, detailed information. They shipped it the same day payment was recieved and gave clear instructions on how to manually pay with paypal.
I read a lot of older reviews before I bought this mouse, some good and some bad, but I have to say that I can't find anything bad about it. They fixed the cord position from the side to the top and used phillip head screws instead of the allen ones which were a couple negative points that I read. I can double click very easily, and out of seven real buttons and with a combination of two shifts and an 8-way scroll, I think you can afford two buttons to scroll up and down. Right now I have two for scrolling, two for back/forward buttons on the browser, a right and left click and also a middle click button. I was originally drawn to this mouse because I moved my old mouse primarly with my fingers anyways, so the learning curve for me wasn't that big. The side buttons aren't that great for gaming unless you map them to something less used. There's room for 30 different profiles, which can be application controlled. I use a side button to switch from my primary gaming one at 1600dpi to my sniping one at 800dpi on the fly. The software is incredible because you can program this mouse almost any way you can think of. The ball bearings on the underside aren't too slick so that your aim is thrown off and teflon feet are included if you think they are. A complete tool set and mini driver cd is included. Hell, even the can is velvet lined.
The Killenflor mouse pad that comes with it feels like any other plastic top pad. The grip on the bottom isn't the stickiest, but the weight of your hand should keep it in place. The mat is definately big enough to do the job. Also, I don't think the wax is absolutely necessary but if you got it why not use it. 1600dpi is a huge improvement over what I was using. I can move the mouse as quick as I want and it will never stall. To clear some things up, the configuration system and everything else about this product has multiple help files and teamspeak never closes when I unplug the mouse. My fingers don't feel strained after prolonged use. I think $60.00 is a bit much, but I know for people who wanted to upgrade to the Mark II were able to for $20.00. If anybody interested in this mouse has questions, I'm sure that you'll find Good Works Systems customer service outstanding.

The mouse does feel precise enough for some of their claims to be true but here are my problems with it.
- No mouse wheel. No explanation that I can find anywhere about how 8 way scroll works. Regardless, who makes a mouse without a mouse wheel? Realize you will miss it in games where you normally will zoom in and out a lot (i.e. World of Warcraft.
- No on the fly sensitivity that I can find. It MIGHT be possible to program this into the mouse using the advanced programming features (and I do mean programming).
- Ball Bearings are actually a hinderance when you have your resolution set up very high (and even if you're set at 1200). The reason being that when you press a button, the mouse moves. Its very difficult to hold still. I considered pulling out the bearings and replacing it with the standard mouse "feet" if I could find them because I think it would make the mouse much better.
- My hand cramps terribly while using it given the way you have to scrunch it around this small mouse. You kind of hold it by the tips of your fingers. If the sensitivity/ball bearings problems weren't so bad, then this might not be a problem. Trying to hold it still with just the tips of my fingers seems to give me bad hand cramps.
- Higher mouse resolution doesn't actually seem like it affects how precise the mouse is, but instead how fast it moves.
- Side buttons aren't really buttons. You actually have to squeeze the bottom of the mouse.
- Wire comes out of an awkward side of the mouse meaning you will have to keep the mouse turned on a slight angle to use it.
- The buttons feel VERY cheap. I feel that if I push forward on them by accident, they will rip off. There was no reason to make mouse buttons like this.
- When I unplug this mouse, if I am in teamspeak, teamspeak crashes. This does not happen with any of my other USB Mice (i.e. Razor Diamondback/Logitech high precision mice). This has happened on both my PC and a friend's.
- Mouse pad Wax has silicon in it. Nothing like rubbing my skin around on a toxic substance.
- The configuration system is clunky at best. There is practically no explanation of what each thing does. Emails to goodwork systems have not yielded any more information.
As I said, despite all this, the mouse does seem pretty precise. However, given the problems with controlling it, I'd have to say to stick to your high res mice made by other more well known companies. Also, www.goodworksystems.com doesn't seem to want to answer any emails regarding the product. Go figure . . .
I would say to not buy it at all. I haven't given up on it yet for UT2004 but I will not play it on any other games. I've tried and for games like WOW, WC3, BF2, or Civilization, its just terrible. It does seem to have some potential for some good frags in UT2004 but more often than not, when you line someone up for a long range kill, your mouse moves due to downward pressure vs ball bearings.
Radical Radial.......2005-12-30
This mouse shouldn't be confused with the company's old ball-mouse (Rotokiller) which got some rather iffy reviews in the tech press. Nope, this is an optical mouse with it's own CPU/memory etc. The mouse is only half of it though. It comes with one of the most detailed programmable software apps I've ever seen for a gaming peripheral. For the purposes of brevity I'll just stick with the hardware for now though. The R2 came in a unique round tin that contained the mouse, a mini-disc that has the software, an adhesive strip for removing the medallion, a mini-screwdriver, replacement steel bearings (used for the mouse feet) and alternate teflon pads if you dont care for the bearings. Altogether it gave one the feeling of having gotten ones moneys worth of a quality product. As advertised I plugged it in and within a minute the mouse was ready to roll. Now I own a Logitech G7 gaming mouse and a Razer Viper both of which use a 2000DPI sensor but I swear they aren't half as sensitive as the R2 is. It was so sensitive that it was initially difficult to zero in on the scroll bar to decrease the sensitivity in the software app. Along with the R2 I purchased their Killenflor/bungie cord holder mousepad. I strongly suggest buying one to accompany the R2 as it worked far better than even the several performace pads I own.
Pro's: excellent software, sensitivity and overall great quality. A wholly unique take on the gaming mouse. Also, due to its unique combination of shape, buttons and especially software, the R2 should be a boon to 3D artists everywhere.
Cons: Somewhat steep learning curve. Theres no way around it, learning to use the R2 will take you several days of getting used to its unique shape, holding it properly etc. Further, you'll probably want to contunue using your standard mouse for everything besides gaming. Do NOT buy this if you can't commit to learning a new way to game. Once you do though, you will NOT want to use anything else for your gaming, trust me on that point.

I started using this mouse 4 months ago and I can not go back! I have never had a problem with my mouse and I kick butt when playing games against my friends. One of the coolest features is that every button is totally programable. I wrote complete profiles for my favorite games and I posted them in their forum (...) I have converted all of my friends, and they all agree that this is the best mouse on the market.

I got this mouse for a present and I found out that it does a lot of cool programming stuff. Sensitivity is great and it moves easily. It has steel balls for glides. The killenflor mouse pad I got with it is great, real smooth movement. I'm playing half life with it, hadles great.

Pixtreme Underwater Digital Still and Video.......2007-12-23
I bought this camera for a snorkeling trip on Maui last year. I put rechargable batteries in it and it took some nice stills, relative to the silt level in the water. It has some shutter lag, and as with any underwater camera the flash lit up the silt when it was present. To my amazement, the video setting turned out to be the strong point of the camera. I ran into some areas that were heavily populated with fast moving fish and the video was incredible. There is no audio, but it is not needed. The colors are clear and the resolution is very good. Several times a turtle or fish nearly hits the lens, but the camera keeps it in focus to a very close range. I got nearly ten minutes of green sea turtle video and it was spectacular. I put them on DVD and the resolution is very good. The manual says it can only handle 512 mb SD cards, but mine took a 2 gig SD without problems. The recahrgable batteries are a necessity as the AAA heavy duties don't cut it. I used 2 900 mah rechargable AAAs, and brought along backups if needed. I never had to change on the fly, but the battery monitor showed low levels frequently. It worked much better than any of the $60 35 mm underwater camers I've used. I'd go take photos and come back and load them on my laptop and go back and take more. It was a lot of fun.
Pix-treme Disappointment.......2007-08-27
I bought this camera specifically to take on a dive trip to remote divesites in the Bahamas earlier this month. Although the camera worked fine on land, it malfunctioned almost completely underwater(three dive companions checked and rechecked my operation, both on land and underwater), Consequently we lost almost all photo records of the spectacular dives (since the camera worked fine on the surface, we had brought along only one additional disposable underwater camera).
Here are the main problems:
1. I purchased an SD Memory Card to increase the limited memory. The card fits, but then the rubber cap does not close (or if you force it in, the card pops out)
2. the control button on the housing that is most raised is the crucial "set" button. Works fine on land with bare fingers, but when wearing gloves underwater, every time you grab the camera to take a shot, you hit the set button and go who-knows-where and lose photo capability.
3. the battery case kept popping halfway open when underwater. A red light went on, and the only way to reset was to remove and reload) the batteries on the surface.
Pretty Good Camera for the LOW Price........2007-07-08
I purchased this camera last year to use for diving in Cancun. (The year before, somehow my Canon camera w/ housing leaked and ruined the camera. I had paid $400 for the camera & $175 for housing, and my warranty had expired 5 days before the leakage. I will NEVER take my good camera diving w/ a housing again !! But at this price for a camera just for diving, I couldn't go wrong.
DISAPPOINTED must have gotten a defective camera. My experience with batteries was more like REBEKAH'S. I had to change the batteries after every dive, but I got a lot of pictures (and movies) with that use. And for the cost of a few AAA batteries, that's nothing compared to the cost of (1) Margarita after the dive !! I think I got a good deal. Got some great pictures of a large shark, too.
I only paid $99 for this camera on eBay (new). That includes the underwater housing. What do you expect for that price? You get what you pay for, so be fair to Pixtreme.
I would recommend this camera to any of my friends who wanted a decent camera for occasional diving / snorkeling at a low price. If you dive a lot, then you would certainly want to invest a few hundred dollars for a better camera. But for $99 bucks, this ain't bad !!
Disappointed!.......2007-03-01
Other reviews did indicate the fact that this camera is hard on batteries, but I did not realize how hard. With the included batteries I was able to take 3 pictures without flash. New NiCads gave me about the same result. New rechargable (fully charged) Nickel Metal Hydride batteries did somewhat better, but still gave me only about 1 hour of use (still with no flash).

This camera sucks! The quality is so so soooooooooo bad. IF your just looking to save some money by buying this dont! It is just a waste you will wish you spent an extra 100 bucks for something way way better. The camera is cheapo plastic the quality sucks.....EVERYTHING ABOUT IT SUCKS...
