DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THE BATTERY DOES NOT EVEN CHARGE (D50 charger) IN THE FIRST PLACE TO BEGIN WITH. IT WAS DOA.

After having to take a break in shooting a surf competition last Oct to recharge a battery... I debated getting a second battery. Although it was entirely my fault the battery died in the field. I had left the camera on the night before, and hadn't even thought to recharge the battery. For the price this is a great spare/back up. I used it this weekend when I knew I wanted a fresh battery for a ceremonial shoot.

Worth it's weight in gold...at 1/4 the price.......2007-07-04

Defintely doesn't last as long as the Nikon, but when you can buy 4 or 5 for the same price as 1 Nikon...it is well worth it. I probably get 1/2 the duration of charge as the Nikon, but it's perfect for a spare battery.

This is a heavy duty, well-made product. My only issue with the product is: don't get the accessory 1509 attache lid organizer. It screws into 4 pegs inside the lid (Pelican doesn't include directions or screws). Because of the pegs, you end up with a space behind the organizer. Whatever you do, don't buy the product through Southwest Public Safety. They do not honor Pelican's 100% guarantee and will charge you a re-stocking fee if you return it.
