It is perfect for my ton of drumset microphones. Heavy duty as all pelican products are. Only problem is the item shown is not the 1500, but rather the 1500 with the wheels and pull out handle. I knew this when I bought it, because the price I paid was still less than half of what the regular price 1500 costs. I didn't want the wheels either or the handle, but it would have been a nice bonus if they were there. I would suggest the seller correct the picture. Anyhow, it is or seems brand new and it top quality. Was delivered very quickly as well.
Not the right picture!!.......2007-08-28
Amazon has the wrong picture posted for this item. The picture shows a case with a telescoping handle and wheels so that you can pull it behind you like luggage. This is the case that we WANTED to purchase. Unfortunately, the case we received did not have the telescoping handle or the wheels. The item # for that case is 1510, not 1500. This is very frustrating, not only for the consumer but also for the merchant. The merchant in this case told me that they do not have control over the picture that Amazon puts with the description. They did give me a $15 credit but would not trade out the product we received with the product that we actually wanted and THOUGHT that we had ordered without wanting to charge me the difference.

Pelican cases are great. We use them at the company I work at to ship computers around. They have never let us down.

Great case, the new pressure valve is great for flights. The foam cubes are hard to pull out, but then you are assured that the ones you didn't want to come out won't. If your looking for the best case, Pelican won't let you down!

Works very well, but switch is annoying.......2007-12-13
This device is only good for basic operations of forward/backwards of the slides and screen blanking. It does not move the mouse around or anything. It is easier to hold than the others I have used and that is a big plus.
The switch on the side is annoying as it is hard to move and if you leave it on, the battery will run down. They should have used a slide to power on style (with an off timer after non-use).
The laser pointer works well and the shape of the device makes it easy to hold steady.
Note that if you are presenting to a live audience, the laser pointer style is perfect. If you are presenting across the internet (e.g. GoTo meeting), then the laser is worthless and you should consider the more expensive ones that let you move the mouse cursor around.

It works well, powerful laser for medium size rooms/classrooms.
battery life is ok, but you have to remember to shut it off.
I suggest using rechargeable batteries.

It does exactly what the product description said it would do, and exactly what I expected it to do for the price. It doesn't do a whole lot, but it does control my PowerPoint presentations well, and that's what I bought it for. I'm happy. The laser pointer maybe could have been a bit more powerful, but it wasn't expensive, so I'm not too worried.
