Very happy with this little camera bag. The bag is very versatile and well constructed. Lowepro makes a smaller 10 and larger 30 and this was the perfect size. It has room for spare batteries, memory card, and is nicely padded.

I had been looking for a case for my HP R818 camera, and wasn't finding one that I liked that also fit.
As it happens, I came across this case in Tokyo, but it was perfect for this camera, and it has just enough room in an expandable pocket for a couple batteries if you want to carry that much, and a small zippered pocket where you could fit a memory card. Just what I was looking for.

My camera fits nicely in the main pocket of the bag, and it opens smoothly with support on the sides so it doesn't just spill open. The front pocket is expandable, but the velcro flap that doubles as a card holder makes it awkward and bulky. So if you want to carry extra batteries it almost doubles the size of the bag because you have batteries that push it out then a massive flap awkwardly holding it closed. I like it, but I might consider carrying my batteries in another bag if I take it on a trip or an outing.

It's not as "rugged" as it may seem, but it definitely has the protection as though it were. I was worried that it was going to be too bulky, etc, but it wasn't at all and it still had superior protection (and storage).

Sony HVLRLAM Ring Light for Sony Alpha Digital SLR is most importantly NOT a Flash unit. It will provide light for close-ups but is not really suitable for anything approaching professional use in macro photography. Its main limitation is the limited brightness of the LED lights. The unit will not permit the use of very small F-Stops that are often desired in macro photography. For hand held purposes about f5.6 is about all that you will be able to use. Too bad Sony didn't continue the previous Real Flash units Konica-Minolta made for macro photography. I'd pass on this unit for anything other than casual home use - maybe for stamp collectors or that sort.
Ring light for Sony Alpha.......2007-05-12
I like to take close-up (and macro) photographs of flowers and other small images and this ring light is all that I could ask. It allows me to photograph in lousy ambient light without the resulting photograph showing the defect in the finished photo. I also have been able to take extreme closeups of my grandson without distracting shadows. (I can always adjust the perceived lighting when using Photograph CS3.) An interesting side feature is achieved by only usin the lighting on one half of the image which does create shadows which are controllable by the using.
This is a winner.
