This Precision Design Flash Bounce Reflector can be utilized with nearly any electronic flash in order to create diffused lighting that will greatly enhance your photographs.
This reflector can be easily fitted to almost any flash unit (using the included Velcro strips) and reflects indirect light onto the subject resulting in a three-dimensional effect, while the soft reflected light creates naturally illuminated images with minimal shadows.
This reflector is particularly useful when it comes to indoor portrait photography, which often suffers from harsh shadows and high contrast due to direct lighting. However, by using the Precision Design Flash Bounce Reflector, it is possible to capture naturally illuminated images with softer shadows and noticeably smoother skin tones.

A little too large if you want to go mostly unnoticed. Otherwise is useful when you want to take the edge of your flash but don't always have a wall or ceiling to bounce from.

Electronic Flash EF-500 DG ST can be used with Sigma's and other manufacturers' AF 35mm SLR cameras and Digital SLR cameras. It has a maximum guide number of 165 in feet or 50 in meter at 105mm focal length (ISO 100). Projection angle of the flashlight is set automatically to match the lens' focal length ranging from 28mm wide-angle to 105mm medium-telephoto. It incorporates a wide panel that expands the angle of illumination that of a 17mm focal length lens.It enables full automatic flash photography by TTL automatic flash exposure control. It includes S-TTL flash photography for Sigma, 3-D multi-sensor balanced fill flash function and i-TTL flash photography for Nikon, E-TTL II flash photography for Canon, ADI flash photography and P-TTL flash photography for Minolta.For bounce flash it can be tilted 90? upwards and 7? downward for close-ups. Also, it can be swiveled 180? to the left and 90? to the right. In addition manual flash can be set to full and 1/16 output levels in 2 steps. Covering focal length of the flashlight can be seen on the LED panel and the flash ready signal can be seen in the viewfinder. EF-500 DG ST incorporates auto power off system.

Not for golf.......2007-10-22
Seems like a nice enough unit. Compact in size, works great playing around in the backyard sighting relatively large objects. But once you get it on the golf course it's worthless for spotting pins (and my course has reflectors). I bought it based on the store person saying the golf and hunting technologies were identical, but in my experience this unit can't be used for golf.
For what it's worth I did find it hard to stabilize the crosshairs. It's not impossible to use but I could see someone who bought it for hunting being discouraged w/difficulty locking in on a target.

Not to happy with product wanted it for golf to find the distance to the flag stick but this range finder can not pick out the stick and always picks up a bigger object behind the flag.the only way it works is if there are people on the green and then i can scope the person on the green and get my yardage.I would not have gotten it if i knew this would happen

compact size, good to targets, but not golf flags. Not easy to get a reading on golf flags, but if you hold steady it will scan and get a reading.
