Lenmar camera batteries from Builder Depot.......2007-01-09
I ordered two 2-packs of 1300 mAh digital camera batteries from Builder Depot via Amazon, and received 4 1000 mAh batteries, so immediately it appeared to be a bait and switch. I contacted the vendor and conducted an e-mail conversation about this situation for a few weeks.....because their replies were about a week apart, and ultimately with no follow-through. Finally, out of time to get exchange prior to Christmas, I decided to give two of the batteries as gifts anyway with the plan to return and get a refund on the other two. So via the website I requested returning two (but apparently this meant two 2-packs) and promptly received an e-mail from Amazon that my request for refund on all 4 batteries had been processed; my recent credit card statement confirmed that. Now I am currently waiting word from Builder Depot indicating they want the batteries back, at which time I hope to correct the 2 vs. 4 battery issue, so that I can refund them the price of the two I gave as gifts. But if they are so unconcerned about correcting the situation, I'm not going to bend over backwards to correct their error either. Bottom line: it's a good deal to get batteries for free, but they're not the quality that were ordered, and the hassle has outweighed the value of the "free" batteries. Stay away from Builder Depot as a vendor through Amazon.
