Good buy.......2007-05-13

We've had this recharger for over a year now and it has worked great for us every time. I recharge two for our camera, the one that came with the set and a different brand and they both seem to recharge well. It does take several hours, but they say that makes a 'better' charge than those quick ones anyway. So I always keep a spare set of alkalines in my camera bag just in case the charge runs out during a prime photo moment, which isn't often. We keep our LCD off pretty much all the time to save the charge and our batteries seem to last a few months before I need to recharge them.

An incomplete package?.......2007-12-16

I was looking seriously at this package when I noticed the extender tube is not listed in the contents or shown in the photos of the package. This tube MUST be used to attach the lenses and filters included in this package to the camera face, over the lens barrels. I don't know the exact name or part number of this tube, but it is listed as an accessory for this, and some other A series cameras on the Canon site and in the camera manual. I find it hard to believe such an important item would be "overlooked" when this package was put together. ADDED EDIT: It is the Conversion Lens Adapter LA-DC58G, shown on page 176 of the camera manual.
