I didn't buy this....tho I could use it and want it. Just TOOOOO expensive for what it is! If money is not a problem...go for it. I spent $3500 on the Sony FX7 but refuse to spend this price for a "brace!"

Entirely conforms to the underside of the FX1 - lightweight to a point where you forget its there. I found the flip up, flip down pad unexpedly comfortable, shooting a lot of quick hand-held quick takes - made for solid shots on the fly!

Great heatsink but very difficult to install.......2007-11-24
This heatsink (HS) is a great cooler in operation BUT you have to install it first. I have an ASUS P5K motherboard and installation of the HS was nearly impossible. I had to remove my case power supply to gain hand access to one of the fasteners. The HS radiator is so large that there is no room to get your fingers down to the fastener. Like I said, after installation it cooled as expected. It is a good buy, just be prepared for a little hand-wringing and frustration during installation.

All I can say is... this CPU cooler is tremendously huge. Pictures of this item should be posted with something else to compare size. At first, I was afraid this fan would not fit into the case (you won't believe how huge it is), or neither was targeted for tower-type cases. I mounted the fan using the provided parts for LGA775 socket. Hopefully I bought an Antec 900 case, no problem at all. Installation was easy. Got this one for an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, benchmark tests provided by EVEREST v4.0.976 marked 35°C idle (using lowest fan speed) and 49°C at full CPU usage. By the way, thermal paste is included (no need to get an extra spare). All I can say is I recommend this one... and yes! It can be mounted for tower case designs

A steal of a deal!.......2007-09-18
Section 1, What is this?:
This product is actually a Bower +10 58mm Macro Close-Up filter (made of high quality glass) (I have submitted changes to the product information as the original description was confusing, unclear, misleading and cryptic, they were rejected on the basis that they couldn't be "verified", but I am very happy I risked the purchase, read on). The seller, "SOHOELECTRONICS", ships it with a Bower 52mm-58mm step-up filter adapter, and then sells it as a 52mm filter... The filter comes with a soft case with velcro closure that is just right for the filter, you can even slip it in after you stick the adapter on it so they stay together, and BARELY squeeze on a 58mm lens cap too.
Section 2, What do I think?:
This is a VERY good filter. After buying it, I only use it by itself, unless I want something intermediate, I use a Bower +4 filter, or I don't use any filter. The +10 seems to be of MUCH higher quality glass however, and is a real beast (size wise) of a filter when you look at it (I will submit weight etc. when I get a chance). The pouch is nice, and, now I have a step-up adapter! I am an amature Macro Photographer, and I typically use a Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera (Black Body Only) with a Canon EF-S 60mm f/2.8 Macro USM Digital SLR Lens for EOS Digital SLR Cameras TRUE (1:1) Macro lens, and VERY often a close-up filter of some kind (I'm so greedy, I know). Occasionally I use my Joby GP3-01EN Gorillapod SLR-Zoom Flexible Tripod for Digital SLR Cameras tripod which is another excellent device I highly recommend picking up.
Section 3, What does all this mean for my photos?:
Now some people sell Close-up filters as "Magnification" filters, which they are, but NOT by an obvious or listed factor... this filter is not a 10X magnification filter, so you won't get a subject tens times the size it would be without the filter. There is an equation for getting the actual increased magnification of "+#" Close-up filters, which will ALWAYS depend on the lens you use it with. Which is:
Magnification boost of Filter = ("fliter+#" X lens focal length) / 1000.
For me this is MAG=(10x60)/1000
or (4x60)/1000.

I was already doing this but, remember to ALWAYS KEEP THE STRONGEST FILTER CLOSEST TO THE LENS, if you stack more than one macro filter. So When I was using my +1,+2,and +4 together, I would want to stack them in that order with the outermost being the +1, and the innermost being the +4.

So the product in question adds 0.6x magnification to my photos (of course there is a loss in maximum working distance as well...). However, you must realize that the benefit changes depending on the lens you use, as is the case with ALL macro "+#" close-up filters!
So when I am in focus with this filter on the end of my my 60mm fixed (1:1) lens i am actually getting an 8:5 life-size shot, or 1.6x life size photos... pretty damn good! Whereas with my +4 on the end I am only getting 1.24x life size. I have heard some say that after about a factor of +3 the quality of the shot starts to degrade, or if you stack more than 2 close-up filters the shot degrades... well, I'll believe both of those things... BUT the +10 seems to be more clear than the +4 filter, so I assume that Bower decided to use higher quality glass since +10 is a much higher factor than usual on filters of this kind! As such, in my field testing, Bower has MORE than compensated for the possible degradation of the additional magnification with their better glass!
At this price, this is virtually a steal with the included adapter!
And after buying Bower's set of 52mm 3 macro (+1, +2, and +4) filters, I much prefer the +10.
