This combination of leg assembly and magnesium three way panhead head is a far superior product in comparison to the traditional tripod/head combination which is constructed of aluminum alloy. Using carbon fiber and magnesium created a product that is a third less weight, yet three times stronger than a tripod constructed of aluminum. This innovative tripod with ball socket head is designed to meet the many needs of today?s photographer. At a maximum operating height of 59.75?, it?s the perfect size for those standard shots, and with a minimum operating height of less than 20?, with standard center column, it allows for those close to ground tripod setups. The magnesium alloy three way panhead rotates 360 degrees horizontally and 90 degrees vertically and 90 degrees forward and 30 degrees back, allowing unlimited viewing positions. It also features a level bubble for precise leveling. Also included is a quick release camera mounting platform that attaches to the base of your camera and allows for quick on and off camera mounting to the tripod. (A quick tip from the professionals: if you use both a multiple cameras, have a quick release mounting platform for each camera you own. When using your tripod this makes it simple to switch cameras without having to detach and reattach the mounting plate to your other camera.) Carry the unit out into the field and you?ll immediately experience the weight advantage. At a combined weight of less than 6 pounds it?s easy to move the tripod from location to location with very little effort. One other factor that has not been overlooked was how to make it easy to first set up the tripod, and then make quick final adjustments. If I could I would have ordered a different card.......2007-07-03
First of all it did not come as pictured, there is no fan on my unit, only a heat sink. When I used the standard Vista driver for this card (it appeared to be a 1300 series card) it was okay but a little slow. Once I downloaded the ATI driver from their web site it is faster but there is a lot of snow on black backgrounds. It's a cheap card and you get what you pay for. Send a little more money and purchase a better card.

I bought this as a secondary card for my new Vista computer (running multiple monitors). Didn't settle well with the nVIDIA card already installed. So, i researched it a bit and found alot of Vista users having problems with this card and many many other ATI cards.
