Nice frame.Good pic quality. Instructions lacking........2007-12-26

Bought 3 for gifts. I have a mac so could not download Optipix, but didn't really need it (I downloaded a freeware called iResize in order to shrink size of original photos). I ended up putting all the photos I wanted into a folder on my desktop. Then I shrunk those photos(w/ iResize) and put them into a "shrunk" folder. That's the folder I downloaded to the frame. It was just a matter of dragging the folder to the frame icon. To make it easier for my recipients to "plug and enjoy" the frame straight out of the box, I set the frame to start up on "Photos" as opposed to "Mode". Found that out by trial and error. Anyway, 2 of the 3 were able to plug the frames in and enjoy. I also included my own instructions in the boxes (We're talking grandmas and great-grandma...low tech!) BUT, the 3rd isn't working at all. Not sure what's up(400miles away)...to be continued.

Does Not Work.......2007-12-26

I got this for my wife, and it had multiple problems. First the remote did not work. (Yes, I slid the plastic tab out). Second, the USB connection was never recognized by my PC, and the frame just sat there saying "Connecting PC...". The only thing it did right was that if I start it up with a card or thumb drive in it, it randomizes and starts right up in a slide show.

Don't buy this product.

Poor instructions but excellent product.......2007-12-17

I would agree with the previous comment that the product is difficult to setup and run basically due to the extremely poor instructions. With that said, once I downloaded the updated software from the optipix site (optipix pro) and I played around a little with the hookup between my computer and the frame, I was able to upload photos without difficulty. The frame, once photos are uploaded, works with ease and displays photos in a beautiful manner. I would have given the product 5 stars but did not due to the poor instructions.

Don't bother...purchased 2 and I am taking both back........2007-12-16

Complicated.....don't bother spending as much time as I did trying to get this to work. Can't wait to return it and get my money back!
