Don't pay $50 for this camera.......2007-08-24

My main point in writing this review is that you can get this camera for much, much cheaper by buying it used or elsewhere.

The Holga is fun and I know many people who swear by it. While I personally have never been extremely into lomography/"plastic fantastic" cameras, if you are this is a good camera and the advantage of using medium format film is wonderful. Also there are scores of websites that will tell you all the ways you can modify your Holga. So have fun! But seriously, there's almost no reason why not to buy this item used. I would not pay more than $20 for it.

The camera is fine. Amazon service sucks. I tried several times to cancel this order because I found it cheaper on another site, and although your website says I can cacel anytime prior to shipment, it kept me in the never ending loop without giving me the ability to actually cancel it. You SUCK!

These camera's are great for enthusiasts! I gifted my roomate this one for christmas (as I already own one, and she borrows it from time to time). We are both photo majors, and it's easy to get swept up in new technology. Sometimes its benificial to go back to your roots ;)

Beware of BAD CD's.......2005-12-31

The camera/binoculars seemed to be of good quality, but the included CD containing the software required to extract photos from this camera was blank. I contacted Digital Blue's technical support who quickly mailed me a 2nd CD. This CD installed the editing software but the driver required for the PC to recognize the camera for Windows XP was NOT compatible (though Digital Blue says it is - Windows tells you the driver is not approved by them). I attempted to install the drivers on two different computers (Gateway & Dell) both running XP, and without success I again contacted Digital Blue who said that my 2nd CD was probably bad and a 3rd would be sent while also mentioning that they had trouble with the vendor that supplied their CD's. I had enough and returned the camera before it was too late for a refund. GOOD LUCK and prepare for dissapointment if you buy this product. BTW - the box also states that a carrying case is included, it wasn't and when I asked technical support about this they said it was a misprint on the new boxes but offered send me one from a previous production run.
