Very good 1080i TV.......2007-11-04
I got The Sansui 26" TV a few months back for my bedroom,and I have been very pleased.The TV has got a realy nice picture.I have watched some Blu-Ray discs on this TV and the quality was amazing.I do have some negative things to say about this TV-1 there is no HDMI on the TV,which is a must for HDTV's today.Also I get waves going acrose the screen with a 1080i signal,and its very annoying.But I get no waves with a 720p signal,so I just have my Blu-Ray player set at 720P,and I believe 720p is getting scaled to 1080i anyways? Yeah since theres no HDMI no upscaling,but 480p looks nice.Well despite the fact theres no HDMI it's still a nice TV.A good TV for the bedroom.

I picked this up at Shop-Ko on sale for $399, and at the time, this was the best value for the best price. The next nearest was a Samsung for around $550. The picture on this TV is Just as sharp as the more expensive comparable models, but my model has the built in HD tunner. This was the only HDTV Sansui had available at the time. Progressive Scan DVD is incredible on this, and HD Cable stations at 1080i are great. HD upconversion should just blow my viewing of movies out of the water. I could see the snowflakes individually fall on the Olympic cross country skiing.
This TV has 2 s video/av inputs (inputs one and two), 1 strait AV input (input three), Coax cable input, and two Component inputs (Aux one and two). I currently have HD cable and DVD hooked up to the two component ins, on input one-Laserdisc, Input two-VCR, and still have another componant slot open (if only I had BETA!!!) It is to bad this was right before HDMI slots became readily popular, cause it would be nice to have one.
This is not a no-name brand of Television. Sansui is quite well known in India and Southeast Asia, made in Thiland I believe.
Feel confident in buying this product. I was hesitent at first, but now 6 months later, I am happy as a clam.
