I have three CMS backup products (two USB based, one ultrabay based) and my other half has one for her laptop. Based on this experience, read the fine print and be prepared for some work. You are not going to come back to life in 15 minutes by plugging in the 'bootable' copy, no matter what anybody says.
Item: the 'complete' backup will often miss 100-200 files which happen to be open. Open files can't be backed up. Among these files will be your most heavily used programs, including for instance internet explorer. In the bootable backup system I am using as I type, all of the MS Office executables were missing from the bootable backup disk, even though none of those tools were in use at the time of backup. Ditto the three browsers that were on this system -- I had to reinstall them. Eudora is restored fine, so is Acrobat, but Real Player, Rand McNally street finder and various third party graphing tools didn't make it. If there's a pattern here I'm not detecting it.
Item: only some backup disks can be made bootable. If you use any 3rd party partitioning software like Partition Magic, CMS doesn't recognize it. You do get a valid backup disk, subject to the quirks of the first item, but you're on your own as far as finding a way to boot your machine without your dead system disk, partitioning your new C: drive, and copying the contents of the backup drive into the windows partition of the new C:drive.
Item: the C: drive is backed up in 'attic' mode - it is not mirrored. If you delete, moved or rename a file, it is not deleted, moved or renamed on the backup drive. So the restored disk looks like an attic of every file you've ever had. This is especially costly if for instance you have a big folder foo with a couple of gb's storage, and rename it as bar. On the backup you will have a foo and a bar, each with a couple of gb's of the same information.
Item: as far as I can detect, customer service does not exist. Calling product support dumps you to voicemail. None of my phone calls or emails have been answered after 5 days.

the original CB80 Polaroid back has been discontinued, however, a new Polaroid back made by A-Power has just been released and it's nearly identical to the CB80. the back comes with the dark slide, diopter lens, 6×6 mask, and viewfinder.
the biggest improvement to this version is that it now takes the type 660 (originally type 100) films in addition to the type 80 (out of production since 2006). When using Type 660/100 films with the new back, a 6×6 image is produced, leaving a black area on the right of the image.
polaroid film isnt made anymore.......2007-09-03
customers should know that the polaroid film used in these cameras is no longer made and very hard to find. otherwise, this is such a cool toy!
