It doesn't say that I have 1 gb of ram.......2007-12-02
I bought one pair of 512 mb sodimm ddr ram. Once I installed the new pair of ram in my laptop( Sony Vaio PCG-K25 ). Then I checked at my computer icon and go to properties. It should say that I have 1024 mb of ram ( minus video card memory) but it didn't say that. It still say that I have only 448 mb of ram ( 512 mb minus 64 mb of video card memory). So, I don't know why??? I tried to do some research about this problem. Some said that's fine. It's just not show that you got 1 gb of ram but I can use 1 gb of ram.. ohhh i still dunno what the problem is.
Can't Go Wrong With Crucial..........2007-09-15
I have been buying memory in many forms for years, for computers, digital cameras, cell phones, Jump Drives, etc. In the beginning, when there weren't that many suppliers out there, most of the brands were very good and quality made...they were reliable and there were seldom any compatibility issues. NOW, with all the Chinese memory out there, the whole ball game has changed. I, like most folks out there, bought the best deal after some research on the product and went with the savings. I can't begin to tell you how many faulty units I have received over the last few years....and when you buy on the Internet, the return issues are a real hassle. So then I started buying local (Comp USA) and over paying for a product that could be easily be returned if need be. Then I found Crucial...WOW, what a great company! You can download a small program that will scan your computer and tell you what you have in there now and then make recommendations! You can Online chat with a Rep or call them on the phone and ALWAYS get a courteous and HONEST person...ALWAYS! I have never had a single failure with numerous products I have bought from them...and their pricing is always fair...shipping is reasonably priced (not the usual rip off) and very fast. I usually check the Crucial website for the right product and cross reference to Amazon to see where I get the best price...it's about 50/50 based on availability and price. I highly recommend them.
Used in Toshiba Satellite 2430-S255.......2007-03-29
The Toshiba Satellite 2430-S255 came with 512mb using 2 dimms. I had to increase the ram because I am using ms sql server 2005 developer edition on the laptop and it complained about low memory even though the instructions claim that you can use it with 512mb so I had to increase the ram. The front side buss or what Toshiba calls the "memory buss" is 533mhz but the fastest ddr ram at the time was 333mhz and from the toshiba website I could only find info on 333mhz so that is why I went with it. I used two 512mb chips for a total of 1gig ram.The first chip I installed in about 1/2 a second. The second chip was a brutal battle. I end up having to use a small screw driver to pull up the plastic tabs so it would hold the chip in place. But I got it together and it worked.

Curtis is a BEST VALUE for HDTV LCD TV ever!.......2007-10-05
I was stunned to find this Curtis LCD1575 available at "Toys R Us" for $[...]. Normally this sells for $[...]. To have such a flexible monitor/TV and in HD, true HD, and with Stereo fully Bass and Treb adjustable is amazing. The family bought four!
We are using them in different ways: as a TV, as an HDTV, as a Gaming Monitor for PS2, and to view DVDs on the boat. It is very very light and portable, and oh so thin, less than an inch and one half! This is a fine buy for the money!

Good design, not enough tips.......2006-12-01
I've been using this for about 6 months, and I appreciate the design. I can use it stand-alone in my car to power an iPod or charge my cell phone, or I can plug it into a Targus Power Adapter anywhere.
The cable management design does make the whole adapter quite compact. The cable is essentially a ribbon cable covered with rubber, so it's flat. It wraps around the body of the power supply (with foam pieces in key areas of the power supply to hold the cable in place), then the short section that leads to the power connector folds over, to keep the cable from unwrapping. This design does take some work to get it to the length you want at the time, but it is quite a compact way of handling about 6 feet of cable. I am a little concerned about the ruggedness of the cable, though--for me the short end of the ribbon cable (that goes to the power connector) is fraying at the points where it is held in place on the power supply with plastic tabs, due to me repeatedly uncoiling and recoiling the cord.
It is true, the device itself comes with no tips. It's made clear on the Targus website, but it is misleading here.
Tips I use:
- iPod dock adapter tip B02 (more expensive than most)
- Motorola tip A10
- Palm m5xx tip A19
The problem is that there are not enough tips! A tip for my Canon digital camera would be nice, but none is available. Many Bluetooth handsfree devices use funky connectors for which no tip exists. But most importantly, Targus should make a simple female USB tip--you could just buy that and use any USB charging cable, which most devices have available nowadays. They also need a male mini-USB tip (though it wouldn't provide any more functionality that a female USB tip and a USB cable would have). These two tips together could eliminate the need for the more expensive iPod tip, many cell phone tips, tips for the latest PDA's, and the hands-free devices with no current tips.
The product itself is a 4, but if I were rating this together with the entire tip system as it is today I would give it a 2 or 3. I hope Targus adds those couple new tips soon, it would make this so much more useful and cost effective.

The advertising here is such misleading. It said it can used to most of the devices, but when I received that from J&R, I found only one adapter without any tips inside. So basically if I want to use it, I have to spend more to purchase the tips for my laptop and DC. This is just like a trap, to make you spend extra money, and you will never end with the product you want. So, go to another product, dont trust this.

Works great with my Treo 755. My palm recognized it the moment I dropped it in. Used the advice of getting the Sandisk MicroMate Reader and transfered music and movies from my computer fast. Love all the space, would recommend over small GB.

The time to load songs from windows media player to pocket tunes on my treo 755p is very long. the software hangs up after 10-20 songs are loaded.

I finally got around to ordering this Mini SD card for my Treo 755, primarily to use to store photos and music. I wanted to get a high-capacity card as I'd like to load up a lot of stuff. I loaded up some music using the Synch feature of Windows Media Player, which provides an easy interface that allows me to choose songs in various ways. Then I opened p Tunes on my Treo, which found the songs automatically and played them with no delay. 4GB will give me the ability to load what I need.
