Great Buy If Ugrading from 128MB or 64MB for under $100.......2007-10-24
I ordered this product from Amazon Sunday and it came Wednesday. The reason for upgrading was my Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 128MB had crapped out due to a nv4_disp error. So far the card has worked fine and improved performance. Where as my Geforce stuttered when playing Halo at 800X600 meduim settings, this card blows through the game at 1024X768 with max settings.

Radeon is junk.......2007-10-06
I've had 2 Radeon video cards and both of them have had the cooling fan break-of course after the warranty expired. it is impossible to replace the fan so the only option is to blow hundreds of dollars on a new card.
if you want to buy a new video card every 2 years then go with Radeon.
I'm going with Nvidia...

Great card, worked right out of the box. Good card to boast your system with 256 video ram freeing up the processor and getting the most out of your slightly older AGP 2X and 4X slot without upgrading motherboard and power supply. The DVD playback software was much better than the preinstalled software in my machine. All in all well worth the money. The extra RAM sure helps with CAD-CAM software.

Yeah so basically, PNY is an excellent brand. While not the Cadillac of flash products, it's certainly at least the Ford of flash products. No problems at all. The device is advertised at class 4, meaning it ought to read/write at a MINIMUM sustained rate of 4 MB/sec. I benchmarked mine to above this number by about 20-30% for both read and write. Popped right into my Canon A570IS---I can now store some absurd amount of photographs at high resolution. Like, 5 years of photos...if I wanted to....or hours of video at 640x480x30fps. I would not hesitate to buy this product. I myself am a Kingston fan, but for the price difference, I bought the far less expensive PNY and haven't had any problem.
Oh, and PLEASE, techno-losers, before you say this card doesn't work in your device, try making sure your device is SDHC compliant??? (it won't be if it's old).

Used this card with my Nikon D80. I had a couple of 2gig cards also for my trip abroad. I ONLY used this card, never needed the other cards. At the highest setting on my Nikon (10.1 megapixal) can take 1000 pictures. More than enough for my needs. I snapped almost 800 pics. And never felt I had to "save" space for another day.
Had no issues with the card with my camera or my Mac. iPhoto read it great. I did plug the card into a friends card reader, which did not read it. So make sure your card reader can read HC (high capacity) cards. Although the newer card readers can, or just plug directly from your camera. Also more important, make sure camera (if you are using for this purpose) can read HC, because not all cameras can.
Otherwise great purchase, good price. Highly recommended

The 1st reviewer here is obviously smoking pot, or does not realize that you must make sure your device is sdhc compliant. I had to flash the firmware in my a636n pda, but it works real good.
